G E Select ice maker has stopped making ice

First, check the filter and make sure it isn't clogged. Second, check the water line and more importantly, the valve that feeds the water to the fridge. It should be 1/4'' line and usually has a saddle valve installed off another larger cold water line. Saddle valves have a tendency to rust and clog. these are simple fixes, generally. IF all these check out OK, Check the water valve inside of the fridge, where water line comes in..Hope this solves your problem.Good luck DW

SGCS304RS The two left burners work. The two right burners, spark but no gas comes out.

The regulators are clogged and so there is no gas flow due to this. use a good brush to clean the burner tops so as to get the mixture of gas /air correct. Use pressurized air to clean the valve, clean the JETS and reset.

Kenmore 110-44182400 washer fills, agitates but will not empty

Hello there and thank you for choosing fixya
A washing machine won't spin if the water can't drain. Check hoses for any kinks or clogs that may prevent the water from draining. If a hose has kinks, try to straighten out the kinked hose. If it can't be straighten sufficiently, replace the hose. If hoses are not kinked, check for clogged hoses. This can be done by using the screwdrivers to remove the hoses and looking for clogs or running a water hose through the clogged hose to remove the clog. Use the rags and bucket to clean up the water that comes out of the hoses when they are disconnected. Once the clog is cleared, put the drain hose back into place. The washer should drain and spin now if a clogged or kinked hose was the problem.
2

If the washer still won't drain or spin, check to see if the lid is not closing all the way or if the lid switch is not clicking into place. Close the lid and make sure that it closes all the way down. When the lid closes, the lid switch should click. If there is no clicking sound, then the switch may need to be replaced. Follow manufacturer's directions for replacing the switch. If the lid does not close all the way, visually check for signs that the lid is bent. If bent, try to bend it back into place.
3

Loose or broken belts could also prevent a washing machine from draining or spinning. Pull the washer away from the wall and, using the screwdrivers and wrenches, remove the back panel. Using the flashlight, visually check for any broken or loose belts. Replace any broken or loose belts. Although replacing washing machine belts is difficult, anyone who has replaced belts on a car, lawn mower or even a bicycle chain should be able to accomplish the task.
4

Another possibility for a washing machine to not spin or drain is the pump. With the back panel still off the washer, check the pump with the voltmeter to ensure that the pump is getting power. If the washer is getting power, turn on the washer and listen to find out if the pump is running but the water is still not draining. It may be necessary to remove the pump and clean it or to replace the pump with a new one. Once the pump is replaced, turn on the washer to determine if it will now drain and spin.
5

If all of the above steps fail to produce a washing machine that drains or spins, then it is time to call a professional repairman. Use the screwdrivers and wrenches to replace the panel on the washer and push it back against the wall.

DCS 305 cootktop: one burner will not stop clicking + the simmer flame is not on consistently around the burner.

Hello- What is probably happening is that the simmer orifice is clogged. If this gets clogged-up and not enough gas comes out to the burner it will continue to click. This is usually pretty easy to remedy. Take off the burner cap and you will see two holes, one in the center for the main burner and a smaller one that is on the perimeter of the burner. Look down that small hole and you should see a bronze orifice, it is pretty small, about 1/8" in diameter on the outside, looks like a nut. Most likely you will see grease or charred bits on the top of it (you can use one of the other burners for a reference if you are having trouble seeing it clearly) In the center of the orifice is a tiny hole, this is the part that is likely clogged. Now, you'll need to find something really skinny, like thin sewing needle and poke it into the orifice opening. Sometimes it is necessary to hold onto the needle with needle-nosed pliers in order to get it far enough in. Just be gentle with it and if what you are using seems too large in diameter then it probably is, you don't want to dent or cause any damage to the orifice opening. Once you get it cleaned out it should work ok. Let me know if you have any questions. Best regards.

When I turn any burner on, the ignitors work fine but it takes a very long time for the burners to ignite. Problem is worse the longer the top has been turned off. Once gas gets to the ignitor, it lights...

It seems like one of your burners is clogged. You made need to use some oen cleaner and a small toothbrush to clean the burner. If the problem occurs with all the burners, then you have a blockage in the gas supply line. you willm have to take it apart at the stove and clear it out. Check the main gas connection and at the burner(s) to spot the debris clogging. Make sure to shut your gas valve off behind the stove. Good luck... hope this helps.

Clogged burner on gas cooktop

lowly is it the left burners that won't lite? I only ask as depending on the model some of the Thermador cook tops had simmer control burners. This is a 3 part system on the burners. 1 a simmer control, 2 electric solenoid, 3 potentiors. When you turn on the burner the potentior tells the simmer control to send power to the gas solenoid. At the same time the unit will spark. If your unit has extra low on the left 2 burners then you have this system. The usual problem in the potentior. Hope this helps.

One of my burners is only giving a tiny amount of gas

Get a needle, and put it through every one of the small holes where the gas comes out. If that doesnt work you should be able to just lift the burner off gas line and check to see if it is clogged with anyting. I once found a dead bettle blocking the gas line....
