2. a. Under "Privilege level", click "Run this program as an administrator".
b. Click apply and then click ok.
3. Install the driver successfully and restart the computer for the changes to take effect.

Scanner doesnt have a driver for windows 7

This may help. Depending on your version of windows 7 you may be able to run Windows XP as a virtual machine and still user your scanner under XP Mode. You will have to install the XP driver for your scanner on the XP virtual machine running on your Windows 7 computer.

Windows 7 has several built-in tools to help with program compatibility and Windows XP programs should be installed directly on Windows 7. Windows XP Mode runs many older Windows XP productivity programs and that are not natively compatible with Windows 7, thus helping realize cost savings and reduce possible operational downtime by extending the life of existing software.

HERE is the direct link to instructions on downloading and using XP Mode on Windows 7

Running Windows 7 and can't use my Photosuite 7 Platinum

Unfortunately Photosuite 7 is not compatible with Windows 7. It was supported for Windows 2000 and XP.

You can upgrade to the latest Roxio product, http://www.roxio.com/enu/products/allproducts.html?rTrack=m_pro_all . I think you need the Creator 2011. (Creator 2010 is also WIndows 7 compatible with the installation of a patch from Roxio.)

If you have Windows7 32-bit (click Start > Control Panel > System and Security > System for the details), you can try using the compatibility mode. Right click on the installer and select Properties. Then choose the Compatibility Tab. Select Run as Compatible with XP (I am not certain which SP option is best - I know the initial release is listed as SP1). Then right click again on the installer and choose Run as Administrator. Then check if the program is running in the compatibility mode. This may not work (it will not work with the 64-bit version at all).

If you have the 64-bit version of the OS or if the compatibility mode fails, you need a work-around. Your option is to run a computer with an older version of Windows. This can be a virtual, dual-boot, or true second machine. If you have Win7 Pro or Ultimate, you can create a virtual XP computer for free. Download and install Virtual PC and XP mode from Microsoft. Install them in order. Then install your Photosuite Platinum software in the XP mode (as you would if it were a stand-alone machine). It will work. (Other virtual computer programs are Parallels and VMWare.) All of the other options will require a licensed version of the older Windows OS. Please note that the virtual computer can't share files directly with the main computer. You'll need to save files to external or removable media (optical media or flash drive, for example) to share them. Also your printer can not be installed on both the real and virtual machines at the same time.

I hope this helps.

I have a zebra p520i printer. My company recently upgraded to a windows 7 operating system. The old drivers v2.00 will not work with windows 7. Where do I find the proper drivers?

You could try here

http://www.bravofiles.com/download/P520i-USB-Card-Printer-8Jdu4kedAQ.html

This is a discontinued product so future drivers might be unlikely.

Windows 7 Version does not recognize the Lexmark X5470 All-In-One Inkjet Printer and I do not have the disk to install and it is not listed on the updated list......

There is not Windows 7 Driver for this printer, you'll need to install the driver through "Compatibility Mode" using the Windows XP or Windows Vista driver.
Download windows vista driver here (Click Here), open the link, click "Download" button, wait for few seconds and save it. After the download's completed, right-click the downloaded file, select "Properties" then on the "Properties" window, click "Compatibility", select "Run this program in compatibility mode for :" select "Windows Vista.." from the available options. Select "Turn of Advanced text services for this program", click "Apply" then "Ok". You'll be able to install the driver on your Windows 7 computer.

If this isn't possible, first extract the downloaded file and do the same steps mentioned above to the "Setup.exe" file.

If you have problem, let me know.

Good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

I want driver of shro am-400 for win vista plz do needfull

Hi there,

Well sorrsy to say but there is no win vista driver's for this model, anyway there is a way to use windows xp drivers in windows vista, follow the below steps -
1. Click the "Start" menu in the lower left-hand corner of the Windows Vista screen.
2. Select "Run" from the Start menu.
3. Type "msconfic" in the Run box. Click "OK." A window will appear that lists all of the programs scheduled to run when Windows Vista is turned on. Uncheck all unessential software programs. Be sure to leave critical programs checked, such as antivirus and firewall programs. Click "OK."
4. Click the "Start" menu and select "Restart" to reboot the computer.
5. Open "My Computer" (located in the Start menu or on the Vista desktop).
6. Double-click the "C:\\" drive. Find the installation directory for the Windows XP program or device that you wish to run in Windows Vista. The installation directory is usually given the name of the program, the program's manufacturer, or a shortened version of either of these two options.
7. Right-click the program or driver. Select the "Properties" option in the pop-up menu that appears.
8. Click the "Compatibility" tab in the window that appears. Check the box next to the heading that reads, "Run this program in compatibility mode." In the drop-down menu, select "Windows XP." Click "OK" to close the window. The program or driver will now operate in Windows Vista in Windows XP compatibility mode, allowing the driver to function as it did in Windows XP. Note that the Windows XP driver will not be able to take advantage of any of the new features in Windows Vista while it is running in compatibility mode. Multi-function Samsung CLX-3175 doesn't scan to PC

I had the same issue with Windows 7 64 bit.I managed to solve it by doing the following
1. Locate the scan2pc.exe program in C:\Windows\twain_32\Samsung\CLX3170 2. Right-click/properties - Compatibility tab. 3.Set compatibility to win xp. Set "Run as Administrator"
I also added the scan2pc.exe to the firewall allowed programs (did that for scanmgr.exe as well, but I don't think I needed to).
Works great now!
Good luck!!

Windows xp problem

Hi

It seems you installed an outdated (16bit Program) for the ScanMaker 4. 16Bit applications/programs and generally DOS based (Windows 3.x and 95) and will not run properly from Windows XP.

First, check http://support.microtek.com/product_dtl_2.phtml?prod_id=23 and download and install Drivers and Plugins for Windows XP.

You may need new 3rd Party Scanner/Image Applications that work in Windows XP. However, if you still want to use the 16Bit application then you will need to run the program in 16Bit Compatibility Mode. To do this, right-click the program executable or shortcut, choose propertise from the drop-down menu, go to the Compatibility Tab and put a tick in "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" From the drop down menu, choose Windows 95 or 98 and apply.

Finally, check the the User's Guide or ReadMe file(s) (if you have it) for more info. Especially, check the recommended OS for the Applications.

I might be wrong, but i think ScanMaker 4 has a SCSI interface. If this is correct, then your laptop or port replica must have a SCSI port. NB: SCSI is not the same as Printer LPT Port.
