Hi just read your posting. Now have you checked for the leak where the drain hose comes out of the case of the machine? It is located at the back top left of the machine.Have you checked the inlet hoses at the tap end and the machine end?Rub the inlet hoses with your hand from the tap to the machine on both hoses to feel if there is any water on them.Check the nozzle under the lid where the water comes into the machine to see if it is not loose or broken. Please reply and let me know how you got on and If you need further help.Looking forward to your reply.

Dodge dakota vacume problem

You need a diagnostic box to tell you what the problem is.......if it is a evap leak,it could be anywhere, the hoses, the gas tank seal,a cracked hose.If you can go to a dealer they might have a smoke machine, they watch to see where white smoke is escaping from.Which is impossible to tell other wise. Could even have over filled the gas tank, that would give you an engine light......

Washer top

The following link should give you the steps necessary to remove the exterior washer casing to inspect the interior:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r397092-replacing_water_pump

The instructions are for replacing the washer pump, but the steps to gain access to the interior are the same. If the leak is coming from the FRONT of the washer, check the pump and drain hoses for loose connections. If the pump is leaking, it is not repairable (sealed unit) and must be replaced. If the leak is coming from UNDER THE WASH TUB, this is a symptm of a leaking tub seal, or cracked tub. This requires removal of the wash basket to replace either part. If the leak is coming from the SIDE of the wash tub after it starts to fill, check the air dome hose to ensure it is still attached and not leaking. This is a small air hose that connects to the side of the wash tub and runs to your pressure switch. It sometimes becomes loose or disconnected and leaks. If the leak is coming from the BACK of the washer, check the fill hoses and water inlet valve hoses. I hope you find this information helpful. If you need further assistance, please let me know.

Where is the filter

filter should be checked regularly and is a pain to do on hotpoint. however, blocked filter would not cause leak.
remove small panel at bottom back.
you will see a large diameter hose running from tub to pump.
undo this hose at the tub end and you will find filter inside hose.
carefull, water will come out

Kenmore washer leak

With the machine unplugged and EMPTY disconnect the water and waster water connection from the wall and tip it forward you should then be able to access the pump.  Check the hoses running to the pump. (usually white plastic with 2 large and 1 small hose running to it.. you can also just move it away from the wall with it completely connected and run it thru a cycle to see where it is leaking from.

Water output hose

normally, they are just clamped to the outlet of the water pump. but be aware that you still need to raise the part of the hose as they come out of the unit in order for the machine to work. if you leave the hose just lying on the ground,as the machine fills up, water would be leaking down the drain even though water pump is not running. pressure switch will not be triggered and machine will not run.
