Wont drain f21 and 5d codes - Kenmore Elite 45986 Front Load Washer

"F21" is a Long Drain error code. This generally means you have a clog somewhere in the drainage system. In particular, the drain pump or drain lines. The following link explains:

This problem is usually corrected by checking and cleaning out the drain pump reservoir. If you clean out the drain pump and the verify the drain lines are clear (including the drain line from the bottom of the wash tub to the inlet side of the drain pump) and the problem still persists, the drain pump my be damaged. If this is the case, you will need to replace the pump.

NOTE: The other error code may be "Sd" which is a Suds detect error. This error can appear in conjunction with the other error code if the pump is not functioning, or is clogged, and air is detected in the pump. More than likely, this code will disappear when the drain problem is resolved.
