The indicator light blinks continously and the fan blows continously when powered and can not be turned off from the thermostat. No heat comes out. Discovered that the filter was very dirty. Replaced the filter, but the condition remains the same. Does the unit need to be reset or did the heater exchanger get damaged? How can I find out?

My goodman heater was installed 3 years ago and never turned on due to contractor problems. When I tried to start it the fan goes on but the indicator light flashes. It says the polarity is switched but I can.'t find a manual or anything that shows how to switch the polarity to where it needs to be. Please help

Is there a diagnostic chart either on the reverse side of the blower door or in your owners manual. It may help you to narrow down what is going wrong.

Operate the furnace with the access door off of the furnace and the blower door switch taped on. Watch the furnace and document what happens. Note if the flame starts but goes out in a few seconds and let me know what you experienced.

A continued flash indicates reverse polarity. You may need to replace the control board, it may have overheated.

No heat from furnace, Goodman GMPN080-4 Rev A. Cycle is solid red status light, then 3 flashes indicating open pressure switch because the inducer fan does not come on.

Jimbo, it sounds like you are aware of the operational sequence to suggest using a voltmeter to check the actual wires going TO the combustion air fan...if there is no voltage from the board, the board is bad. Just make sure one of the high temp limits are not open... one may be in the blower compartment on some and one will be near the top of the vestibule and a roll out switch should be near the burners. They should all be wired in series.

Always check the manual reset safty switches as the first step in troubleshooting.

There could be other problems but check and see if your igniter is not burnt out. Ours did that and tried to ignite for two days and then I found I had to change the igniter.

I turn the thermastat to heat on my goodman gms90904cxa and the inducer fan does not come on and after a couple of seconds the lights blink 3 times

Hello, a 3 blink pattern indicates a open limit switch. Most of the time a dirty filter, dirty blower wheel, weak blower motor, can cause the limit switch to open.

Goodman PGJ030075-1 Motor Not Spinning - No Cool Air Blowing

I assume you are talking about the evaporator fan motor. Check the capacitor. Replace if necessary. If cap shows good then it's most likely the indoor fan motor.

My goodman seer 13 package heatpump stopped blowing cool air. Fan still works, there is power to the unit.

Is the outside unit starting and fan blade spinning? Have you inspected you air filter recently?

Goodman A/c not working. cannot find manual. landlord away

Try replacing the batteries first. The blinking may be the battery indicator.

The fact that it blows air when you turn the thermostat to cool tells me that the thermostat is probably working. The problem is most likely outside at the condensing unit. There are lots of potential problems that could be found out there. Sounds like you will need a technician.

TV auto shut off-power indicator light blinking-won't turn back on

You could have gotten an electrical surge that put your set into a shutdown condition and unplugging the set and letting the Microprocessor reset will fix this problem if it dosent blow out the main power regulator as you still or might I say have a regulator IC problem. IF THIS PROBLEM HAPPENS AGAIN MORE THEN A FEW TIMES WITHIN A SMALL TIME FRAME I WOULD HAVE THE SET LOOKED AT BEFORE THE REGULAOR BLOWS SOMETHING OUT!!!!
