The indicator light blinks continously and the fan blows continously when powered and can not be turned off from the thermostat. No heat comes out. Discovered that the filter was very dirty. Replaced the filter, but the condition remains the same. Does the unit need to be reset or did the heater exchanger get damaged? How can I find out?
Is there a diagnostic chart either on the reverse side of the blower door or in your owners manual. It may help you to narrow down what is going wrong.
Operate the furnace with the access door off of the furnace and the blower door switch taped on. Watch the furnace and document what happens. Note if the flame starts but goes out in a few seconds and let me know what you experienced.

My goodman heater was installed 3 years ago and never turned on due to contractor problems. When I tried to start it the fan goes on but the indicator light flashes. It says the polarity is switched but I can.'t find a manual or anything that shows how to switch the polarity to where it needs to be. Please help
