The best thing to clean an oven or anything of the sort is to use easy-off oven cleaner... Spray on and leave sit for 15 mins wipe off with dry rag (or medium- fine steel wool if needed) then rinse with wet rag, make sure to rinse all the chemicals off before using it... Also this works great on car rims getting brake dust off "spray on wait til it turns purple blueish then spray with hose." NOTICE - In either case if there are any plastic parts do a spot check on a inconspicuous spot first, because it might bleach the plastic "turn it white".......... The picture is the exact kind that i use for both my oven and rims on my car

No heat on convection or self clean

If you have been using the self clean feature, you have probably burned out or damaged the connections to the fan and the convection fan element or thermistor. NEVER EVER use the self clean feature.

Need help with diagnosis and repair of Smeg oven

It could be the switch, but also check for chaffed wiring where the wires pass close to or through metal. The vibration of the fan cause the insulation to wear through. The wires are glass coated which frays and exposes the plastic below. If you have used the cleaning cycle, that is also a reason for these failures. Number 1 tip, NEVER use self cleaning cycle

Is the fan on my oven broken or just needs cleaned?

It is most likely coated in grease, remove it and clean it first.

I self-cleaned our oven yesterday. After waiting

in order to get the door open you can remove the door locking motor and turn the locking shaft.
there could be a problem with the excessive heat from the oven during the cleaning cycle check with frigidaire and see if there is any kind of recall for this problem

Self cleaning oven the fan will not go off after

Self cleaning ovens usually use very hot temperatures. Therefore if your fan is designed to help your oven cool, it will run until your oven is cool. Leave it running until your oven is cool and it should stop. It it does not let me know.

GE: JTP56 F2 Door Locked displayed

I have the the same problem as discribed above. Does you oven fan go on for a long time after you use your oven during regular baking. Mine seems to stay on for 45 minutes after I bake anything. Can this be all tied together with the f2 problem? I am wondering if it is not just a fan circulation problem?
