I want to convert my magic chef kitchen stove..model number, 31001saw from gas to propane..how much is the conversion kit and a good site to buy it from..?

Sorry we do not have that kind of information, your local LP gas supplier can get what you need call them.

In most cases the orifices can be removed and reversed to convert from lp to natural gas. Sometimes you will need a conversion kit and you will need to look this up by model number. 465 is the oven capacity not the model number. You can locate the model number by pulling the drawer out and looking behind it. Please let me know the model and I can let you know what kit you need. Also I should let you know that your gas company is the most qualified to convert your range, and this conversion should not be attempted by anyone who is not qualified. If this conversion is not completed properly you could be risking your life and the lives of everyone in your home, so make sure you know what you are doing!! Or get a qualified person. Natural gas to LP conversion of Gaffers Sattler stove

no info on stove so cant answer correctly --but most can be converted or have a conversion kit available do online search of make and model

Yes, there is an LP conversion kit for the CPR1100ADW. Sears Parts Direct lists it here: http://www.searspartsdirect.com/model-number/cpr1100adw/1429/0124002.html . Select the Gas Control drawing. Note: the Magic Chef range uses the same parts as a Whirlpool or Maytag range.

The gas regulator also has to be adjusted. Most ranges with converter kits available just require the regulator to be removed and turned 180 degrees before replacing it. It's recommended that a LP service person do the work. The air flow may need to be adjusted and any mistakes could be dangerous.

Go to their website (Magic Chef) and there should be a conversion kit. Simple to do - you just change out a few parts. Good luck

Did it work OK in that location before the changes?
Sounds like you used Natural gas parts instead of LP.
Lp orifices have smaller holes than Nat.

2. Provide an adequate gas supply.
This unit is pre-set to operate on 4" natural gas manifold
pressure. Aconvertible pressure regulator is connected to the
manifold and MUST be connected inseries with the gas supply
line. If the LP/Propane conversion kit has been used, follow
instructions provided with the kit for converting the pressure
regulator to LP/Propane use. The LP kit can be found on the
back side of the range (some models).

I yours does not have the kit on back go to sears to get one.

This is something that should be done by a qualified gas technician due to safety concerns.
