Need torque on 1997 chevy tahoe 5.7 rocker arm torque

The rocker arms need to be adjusted, they are not set to a specific torque, they use self locking "crimp" nuts to hold the adjustment, these nuts should not be used over to hold the adjustment replace them.. With the lifters fully "pumped" up tighten the rocker arms to "zero" lash, the turn them in an additional 3/4 turn, you are done.

I have a 2001 chevy blazer 4.3 vortec put head gaskets in but cant find the procedure for adjusting the valves. it have rocker arm bolts all i can find is a twenty ft-lb torque is there no adjusting and...

Hello,

You are correct there is no lash adjustment, just the torque. However you do have to rotate the crankshaft balancer to position the crankshaft balancer alignment mark 57-63 degrees clockwise or counterclockwise from the engine front cover alignment tab. No further adjustment is required. By the way I have 22 Ft. Lbs for that torque (probably doesn't matter much) I hope this helps.

I have a 6337D which has 16 position torque settings. I do not have any torque measurement device. This said, what does each setting represent in terms of a torque value? Thanks for your help.

Good luck finding any actual documentation on this one. The only thing I could think of would be to put a rag in a vise and clamp the drill in the vise after chucking up a bolt. Set the wrench for your desired torque and adjust the clutch on the drill until the wrench indicates the clutch torque value is what you desire...just a thought.
Take care.
