at the command prompt type chkdsk X: /f /r where X is pen drive. If it doesn't work download the recovery tool here http://freeware-fix.blogspot.com/2013/04/usb-drive-is-unreadable.htm
Format it by using a device like a camera, the computer will not work to format this type of memory. I know this from own experience with 4 different computer in my house..
that all depends on the model of your laptop, most current laptops have a slot for a standard sd card, if this is the case you will need a micro sd adapter.
if you dont have a port for an sd card you have 2 options, first you can buy a usb memory card reader (making sure it takes micro sd cards before you purchase) or, most mobile phones take the micro sd card so you can put it in your phone and either plug it into your laptop using a usb cable and try getting them that way, or if you can view the photos on your phone, bluetooth/email them across.
for reliability buy a dedicated micro sd reader as not all the adapters work. I hope I have been of help but please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions. I appreciate your vote if you appreciate my reply.
I would suggest you "NOT" to copy anymore files on your SD Card to prevent data loss or data corruption. Stop using it immediately. Download an undelete program such as Undelete Plus. I think its a free download. and run the program to recover your pictures. If you attempt to continue to use your SD Card you are at higher risk of loosing your data.
No problem at all. As long as the phone recognizes the memory card, you can transfer the pics from it. What you do is - connect the phone to the PC as a Mass Storage Device through a data cable using the USB port. It will appear in My Computer as an additional drive which can be used as any other drive in the HDD. Copy, paste, delete, whatever.
However, remember that after the file transfer you must first stop using the card from an icon in the system tray and only when it tell you that it is safe to remove the card, then only detach it from the PC. Else there are chances of you card getting damaged.
You should try some photo recovery software to rescue the files on your camera card, here are some you may rely on. Both programs can also recover videos and music. Photo Recovery Software (for Windows) Mac Photo Recovery Software (for Mac OS X)
Be careful: Before your pictures are recovered, do not attempt to save more files to the card in case the original files(your pictures) are overwritten.
