Watching Netflix on ps4 when it suddenly turned off by itself. Tried unplugging it for a few minutes then turning it back on. The blue light on the console came on briefly and then went off again. When the P button is pressed on the controllers, the blink white for a few seconds then turn back off.

HI, this is a power unit issue. you will need to replace the power unit block asap if possible. these can be purchase on line or, you can contact sony for this repair as well.

Possibly the very common mother board failure. Slight possibility that the power supply is failed, but the capacitors in either component can be tested with capacitor tester and service manual to test for the faulty component.

The same happened to me yesterday, just works with the usb cable, maybe reseting the configuration, by pressing for 5 seconds the reset button. I'll ry this today.

This is an issue since 3.10 update...MANY MANY people are having this problem. Try turning off console then turning console on by hand and waiting till its booted to turn on controller. eventually it will work, but its only a temporary fix, hopefully sony will respond to this problem soon
