Not heard of the name before but it is part of Garmin. On my unit you just click the red cancel button. If you click on this link you can get a manual for your unit.

Testimonial: "I do not not have a red cancel button on my unit. The link does not bring me to a manual link? Thanks anyway! I never used the unit and my sister threw away the box and instructions so I don't know what model number it is. I just have the serial number that's on the unit!"

    Hi
When you click on my link the page has 6 window panes (I just checked it again using the link), the bottom right hand one clearly states 'Manuals'. When you click on that pane you go to a new page and are presented with a whole list of manuals. Your model number will either be on the front of the unit or will be on the back with the unit serial number.

Try this link which I hope will take you direct to manuals. I just tested this link and it does!

To answer your other part of the question. I can only go by my personal experience of Garmin car GPS units. I have a Garmin Nuuvi 1350. One you set a destination it presents you with the map and directions. If you shut the machine down it remembers that you wanted to go somewhere. At the bottom left of the screen there is a small arrow pointing left and this takes you back to the Start screen. On the bottom left of that screen is a button with a cross in it and the word 'Cancel'. When you press that it clears the previous route. Then you have two MAIN Choices, WHERE TO' and 'MAP'. When you click on MAP, you see where you are and your car symbol moves along the road as you do. When you click on WHERE TO, you are presented with choices, ADDRESS, HOME, POINT OF INTEREST, etc.

Your other choices on the Home screen are Volume (if it talks) and TOOLS Which gives you lots of setup options.

As I say, advice from real life use and I used mine tonight.

The gps sreen is disable and i cannot inter letter, number or touch the icon in the screen

Hello,

My name is Mike, I am a GPS expert. A lot of your problem is updating issues, and rebooting issue. Please read all this information below. Thanks So Much, Here is some of my personal experiences, Sense I am also paid to test new units that hit the market through manufacturers.

Update: September 8, 2011: Navigon was taken over by Garmin. There are NO MORE USA MAP UPDATES for this unit. If you buy it you will NOT be able to update the USA maps.

I'm terrible with directions so I bought this hoping it would help me and it did. It found the satellites immediately and kept me moving along quickly. It updates quickly and even if you choose a different route it recalculates a new route and maps it out instantly. The touch screen is responsive and easy to use. It's well made and doesn't feel cheap. The windshield mount works easily and holds the unit in place.

When you register the unit at the Navigon website, you'll find out that a software update is not necessary as of today. FreshMaps is supposed to be available this month (July) and you can sign up for E-mail notification as to when they'll be ready for download. The unit comes with a 2 gig memory card and you can install a larger one when it's needed. The operating system for the mapping program is Windows CE. No problems with it yet.

So far, I'm happy with this unit. It does what I need without a load of unnecessary bells and whistles.

August 3, 2008: As of today, FreshMaps update is now available for this unit. Just go to the Navigon website, log into your account and download the Navigon downloader program. Install the program on your computer and you're ready to go. You can even backup your old maps with this downloader program which is recommended before you download the new maps and install them.

October 1, 2008: Navigon now gives you FREE lifetime traffic information. You just can't go wrong. I've been very happy with this unit.

HERE IS SOME MORE COMPUTER BORING INFORMATION TOO:

The Navigon models, like many competitors, use a customized version of Microsoft's Windows CE as their basic operating system - augmented by a software package which includes the Map information, Points Of Interest, and the manufacturer's particular 'twist' on a User Interface (what you deal with, onscreen, to enter information and use the device). The Navigon units use a 2GB SD Memory Card to hold it all - which allows for an easy hardware upgrade (pop in a bigger Card) if the data-handling needs ever grow beyond 2GB. (In comparison, my ancient Garmin had a 32MB internal chip, and wasn't expandable.)

BOTTOM LINE, IS YOU NEED TO TURN POWER OFF, AND AS YOU TURN IT ON, HOLD ON BUTTON ALL THE WAY THROUGH BOOT UP UNTIL IT TURNS COMPLETELY ON THEN RELEASE ON BUTTON. IF THIS MANUAL REBOOT PROCESS DOES NOT WORK, NEED TO UPDATE UNIT.

I HOPE THIS HELPS, MIKE, FROM FIXYA

also to contact me for future problems, check out my direct market place site through fixya for other areas I am a expert in. Thanks Again, Mike

Control board reset?

Amana version of adaptive defrost : Press refrigerator light switch five times in six seconds to initiate defrost cycle. Pressing five more times within six seconds will cancel defrost and go straight into the run mode. Similar operation on both bottom mount and SxS refrigerators. After the defrost terminator/thermostat opens, six minutes of dwell time occurs before the compressor and condenser fan motor will operate. After defrost terminator/thermostat open, 10 minutes of dwell time occurs before the evaporator fan motor will operate.

I had the same problem with my unit.

Did you try to reload ALL the files back to the memory card?

This as a slow process, but it seems to go a little faster if you use a card reader.

Format card using FAT option, not FAT32.

Hope this helps

Navigon 2100 problem

2 things that might help...use a paperclip and press the reset button (small hole on side, you'll feel a click) hold it for 5 seconds. THEN hold down the power on button for over 10 secs (keep holding while it shows version number) and it will perform a factory reset. You will possibly lose any settings and addresses, but better that than a locked GPS unit.

Old unit not powering on

Hold down the power button and push the reset button. Then select the corresponding cancel button (unless you want to loose everything. If that doesn't work, pull the battery and the backup battery. You will loose everything but it might bring it back to life.
