Bosch SGS43C12 dishwasher fills with water as normal at start of programme, then you can hear a quiet 'click click' normally the cycle would start, but nothing happens. I can press reset and it drains the...

Where does the clicking sound seem to be coming from? Start the machine and when it's filled with water, try to identify where the clicking noise is emanating from. I suggest putting you ear next to the programme selector and start/stop switch and see if you can hear it more loudly/clearly.

Sounds like a faulty control module to me. Try the above and report back . . .

I have a Bosch Clasixx dishwasher, it is around 6 or 7 years old. We have had no trouble until now. When we press any programme the usual noise from within begins, but it will not fill with water. We have...

The float switch might be tripping. Pull the dishwasher out (if it's under-counter) and tilt it forward gradually to about 20 degrees. If you see a pool of water on the floor, it means that water is getting into the bottom of the dishwasher underneath the washing compartment.

This can simply be caused by a loose retaining nut on the salt compartment. Unscrew the cap from the salt compartment and you will see a large plastic nut underneath. If it's loose, tighten it - you'll need a large pair of waterpump pliers or stilson for this.

Assuming this was the problem, make sure you empty all the water from the bottom before you put it back by tilting it forwards until water stops coming out.

To stop the problem returning, DON'T over-tighten the cap on the salt compartment. Make sure it's on firmly, but if you overtighten it, it will grip the nut and loosen it the next time you remove the salt cap. If the nut is loose, water can get into the bottom of the washer.

Bosch SHV 4303 Dishwasher not draining

I have a Bosch Classixx with what sounds the same problem. It would not drain properly and hummed even when the front door was opened. After a couple of days it ponged a bit. This is what I did.Sypnoned off yukky water with a short length of hose (fill pipe with water from tap don't **** on it!!).Cleaned filter under cutlery tray at bottom. Then put a TEASPOON of bleach if on main drainage or dishwasher cleaner if septic tank.Ran on a hot wash and see if it sorted problem-it didn't but did clean system.
Syphoned off again -take care.Isolated electric and water supply.-Should do that first perhaps Pulled out from under counter undid drain hose at sink end and water at machine end.I then put machine on side and undid bottom silver plate.Note position of polystyrene float switch cover.I then followed drain hose to drain pump and undid it by twisting it like a bayonet light bulb undoing clip levering with screwdriver (not for feint hearted as easy to break) -I then checked little impeller for foreign object-found none so pulled off pump housing by rubber hose to bigger pump thing next to it and found small bit of plastic put it back together and hey presto problem sorted-I was told it might take two hours for the expert to do it once on his workhop bench-it took me about 30 mins plus a bit of head scratching and a yank and push or two which could have been rather expensive -I was lucky!
