I need help with my Consew 105. It doesn't have an oil pan under it so it needs to be oiled by hand. Where do I put the oil?

If the machine was supposed to have an oil pan, I would think you would not be able to successfully use it without one. It would be like trying to drive a car without an oil pan. You could try squirting oil into it every mile, but the machine would eventually quit because it requires a constant source of oil.

Try contacting the manufacturer:

Is there a manual for the portable Kenmore sewing machine 158-12292? Is one supposed to oil this machine?

There are few parts to oil in any sewing machine, but if you must, be sure to use a clear, light machine oil such as "3 in 1" oil, etc. The manuals are here: http://www.kenmoresewingmanuals.com/kenmore_158_manuals/kenmore_158_manuals.htm

Problem with Lawn Trimmers & Edgers I put a

Yes, this should not hurt it, just clean the plug and crank until it fires up, it will smoke until the oil has gone. Are you sure it is a four stroke machine?? as most are two strokes and do require a fuel/oil mix.

Gas in oil

Not suppose to be, but happens, remove the spark plug, and run the starter about 30 second, to clean the cylinder. Clean the spark plug and try to start it. When it's start it will smoke, but do not worry it will be OK, after a sort time. Good Luck

How do I oil the machine?

With this machine YOU don't oil it. It is "factory sealed" with all the oil it's supposed to need. If things get stiff or difficult to operate you are supposed to call your nearest authorized dealer and arrange to take it in to them for servicing.

Hope that helps. You can also find more information on that machine on the Brother website, under customer support.

I have a Shark euro pro. How am I supposed to oil it?

Before oiling, turn the machine off and remove the power cord. Make sure you've brushed out the lint and dust from the feed dogs and bobbin holder. Then you can apply a drop of oil through the small hole in the feed plate to the left of the needle. Remove the light cover on the left, and place a drop of oil on the shaft near the top, after brushing to remove lint and dust. Turn the knob on the right back and forth, moving the needle up and down several times. Plug it in, turn it on, and go!

Do you have to much oil in the engine?check for overfill and adjust
was the mower turned on its side for some reason? if so oil was probably put where it was not supposed to be and will eventually burn off. Note:If you are checking under a mower always have the spark plug on the engine in the UP position. worn engine ?Rebuild

To oil or not?

the ULT is a nice machine ..
we used to say "if it moves, oil it" .. but now they sometimes use sealed bearings or plastics that are self lubing .. on this machine there are a few places to oil regularly .. those are available by opening the lamp cover .. dont use WD40 .. use only light non gumming machine oil (sewing machine oil or Clock oil) .. just a drop will do .. you will find a lot of detailed information about your machine at the URL listed below .. about 2/3 the way down the lengthy list you will find OILING ... as well as lots of hints on how to care for the machine ..
