There are different 1030 gardena timers, and some gardena products have 3 different numbers, and sometime different timers have identical number.

I don't have a source of Gardena parts, and have asked anyone finding this thread to add a comment if they find a Gardena parts source.
Compounding the problem is the company doesn't respond to e-mail requests, many Gardena products do not have on-line manuals, and Garden timers sometimes have more than three different numbers for the same timer making it difficult to identify exact timer.

I cannot find T1030D manual to help you solve the problem, other than suggest opening the cover using thumb-latch and change battery and clean the connections.

If you can scan your manual into pdf format and post it on your website, many folks would be happy to have a copy so fixya can help more folks solve Gardena problems.

Gardena timers can have 3 or more different numbers to identify same timer.

I cannot find parts or manuals on Gardena products.

They have technical drawings for some products so parts must exist somewhere.

If you are looking for operation manual at Gardena, they only have sales brochures and technical drawings.

Generally speaking, fixya sees more complaints about Gardena water timers than other brands. Maybe more Gardena timers are sold, or maybe the timers have problems.
There are no sources for water timer parts for any brand, and nobody reports being able to fix a water timer once it goes bad.
Any plastic outdoor device that works with a battery-operated clock motor cannot last more than a year or so, and will crack if exposed to freezing water.
I suggest the cheapest timer.

Gardena timer is not identified.
Most water timers use 9Volt battery, but Gardena timers have up to three different model numbers for each timer.
