Kenmore 385.19233 shows E1 and I can not find it in the manual. What does it mean It is a sewing machine

Hi,
I have found that most often the E1 code means the presser foot is not down or not all the way down (a walking foot attachment can keep it from dropping all the way). I didn't find any error codes in the Kenmore manual either. I have several Brother machines that are quite similar in design and since Kenmore doesn't actually make anything, it is probably made by Brother or Janome.

In the window then note comes up E1 ERROR . What is this. It does not sew.

Consult the owner's manual. There is usually a list of error codes in the Troubleshooting section that discusses error codes and how to resolve them.

Error Codes differ from brand to brand, so it is best to search for your machine's make, model plus "E1," ie:

Hi i keep getting the E1 error message flash up on the sewing machine, it still sews but it keeps stopping and the E1 error message comes up, what exactly is wrong with it? can you he;lp? Thanks

E1 means that your machine thinks the thread has broken.

There's nothing you can do to fix this: it has to go to an authorised Singer Service Centre for diagnosis and repair. Usually it's a faulty thread sensor.

E1 error code.

The pressure foot was up instead of down when I tried to run the machine without sewing something.
