Try turning the router off for 15 sec. then power it up again waite until the LEDs are on then boot up the DELL laptop.
If you shutdown both the router and the laptop and power them up together, then the wireless router may not finish initializing when the laptop boots up and therefore the wireless router doesn't get a chance to issue an IP address to the laptop.
Make sure the wireless router LED lights are on before you boot up the laptop.
If you have no power to the console or the console itself is not powered on then the light will not turn green. In other words...until you can turn the power on to your xbox 360 the light will remain yellow. Check the connection to the back of your 360 it may have wiggled loose somehow. The instant that the power brick senses power making a complete cycle in your 360 your light will turn green. If the 360 fails to turn on when you push the power button or when you push the center button on your wireless controller or when you push the center button on a wired or wireless controller that is connected physically to the 360 then I hope it is still under warranty. If not then you should contact someone about how to repair this issue. It may be that the power button is the only thing broken on this machine.
the wireless card installed to your computer is working..as you said you can view all wireless networks...your computer is good too...the only issue is you cant connect to the wireless router...
turn off and unplug the power cable of the Modem turn off and unplug the power cable the router
wait for 30 seconds plug in and turn on the modem, wait for all the light turn to solid green ( no blinking lights )
then power on the router
if you saw the wireless icon light turn solid...
go to your computer...right click the wireless icon...select repair
if this doesnt work....reset your internet router by press and hold the reset button behind the router near the power plug (atleast 15 sec)
then connect your PC..the wireless network dont have the WEP key anymore because of the reset..you can reconfigure and put back the WEP key when you get connected.
control panel network connections if your network shows right click
if there is Enable then click
if not click repair
if you have nothing there check devices and see if wireless card shows
let me know if this helped
you may need to setup a wireless connection
First you must sure that your wireless card is working Second confirm your wireless setup is right. Then reset your wireless account. Or your laptop battery cant supply the power to your wireless card, check the metal connection.
Try resetting you wireless adapter, sometimes that resolves the issue. You could also check your connection status and try to repair the connection there. Or turn off your PC then the router then the modem wait 10 minutes power up the modem after all the lights are lit turn on the router when all those lights are on turn on your PC, then recheck your connection status and repair if needed.
