ok have you made sure the pilot jet in the carb is 100% clean ,you should be able to see through it the hole isnt massive its quite small its about .35mm the pilot jet is the smaller of the two jets and it is recessed in a hole, the big jet in the centre is the main jet and that screws into the needle jet take both out and clean them,if the hole is blocked put some vinegar in a cup and put them in it for a day then clean them and blow through them and re fit them.ok have you made sure the pilot jet in the carb is 100% clean ,you should be able to see through it the hole isnt massive its quite small its about .35mm the pilot jet is the smaller of the two jets and it is recessed in a hole, the big jet in the centre is the main jet and that screws into the needle jet take both out and clean them,if the hole is blocked put some vinegar in a cup and put them in it for a day then clean them and blow through them and re fit them.

the float is not what needs cleaning.. its the needle and seat that the float controls that needs cleaning.. this is what regulates the flow of gas into the carburetor float bowl.. -- #32 on this exploded view.. http://www.carbparts.com/mikuni/vm18_144.gif
Sounds like you are out of gas. Was it running when you did the carb overhaul and then just not now?? Could you have twisted or pinched the fuel line??
I know how much everyone loves those reels They are great when they are new. But the truth is They are made to sell and they do sell. But I will bet a dollar to a donut that You would have 300% less trouble out of a Shakespeare Reel with less trouble and 70% less on cost and you cant wear them out.
hey Steve, you put the carb back together incorrectly somewhere.. take it to a qualified professional, let him check it and reassemble it... it wil be fine after doing this... --Check the air filter.. make sure its clean...
try a new spark plug. if u fowl out a plug some time they will not fire under compression.2 strokes need. fuel, fire and air, very simple engines.it is possible crank seal are bad .that doesn't allow the engine to create vacuum in the crank case.thus fuel and air will not make it to combustion chamber.
Yes and it won't run unless the choke is on
