Unplug the unit. Take it apart until you get to where the cord is attached inside the unit. Install new cord and you are set. If it is just the plug that is bad then you can just replace that as well.

Yes it is. Any cord is replaceable.

Testimonial: "Sure. The real problem is how to reconnect the white electrical connector inside the handle to the matching connector inside the vacuum body. Any ideas would be appreciated."

    Is it a soldering connection?

I'll post a photo. The handle pulled completely out of the base. I can put the handle in the base but the connector won't engage and there isn't enough play in electrical cord to pull it out to reattach.

The change of the cord and connector should be done by a repair shop for a safe and efficient operation.

Not really what I wanted to hear, but thanks for your honesty. This fix is not for the faint of heart.

Miele s7210 light comes on,but doesn't run. no clogged hoses.

I have a Miele with a failed motor and it sounds if you have as well. The is nothing shown as a common, or known fault. Take it to your local Miele Service Centre for diagnosis and repair.

My cord came unplugged and when I plugged it back in the machine will not turn on.

It is possible that you may have pulled the machine too far and possibly broken a wire most likely near the plug end or within the machine itself.

The hose is blocked, how do I get it off to unblock?

Hey, this is Tristan with Crucial Vacuum,

In order to remove the hose to start unblocking it, do the following:
1. Put the vacuum in the upright position
2. Press the release button of the telescopic wand and remove the handle from the hose
3. Push the hose elbow downward into the catch hooks.
4. Undo the suction hose by twisting it at the elbow.

If the blockage isn't in this location you can do the following to search further for blockages:

5. Open the service flap on the back of the vacuum.
6. Unscrew the screws and pull the cover free.

Below I have attached a link to the users manual for the Miele S7210. You should refer to page 30 to view the diagrams pertaining to my suggestions.

Outer power cord has perished near the handle.

Best to have the power cord replaced. Take it to an appliance repair service and have the work done. Most cords have strain reliefs that you cannot replace, and when missing you problems will just reoccur faster.

I have a miele upright S7210 and can not find the replacement hose. Any ideas?

What do you mean by the replacement hose? The original part for your 7210 twist includes the handle grip to lock in to the adjustable wand, or do you mean the short hose in the base behind the brush roll?
