Cannot connect acer aspire one to my tp-link router

I have an Acer notebook connected wirelessly to the internet. I recently bought an Aspire One netbook. It finds my wireless network, but won't connect. It tries and after a while the network panel is back, and my connection isn't made. Is it some configuration issue i'm too stupid to understand or is my netbook defective (if it wa it would not recognize the wireless networks available, would it?)

My Acer Aspire One will not connect to the internet.

Do you have a wireless router that is connected to the Internet via a DSL or cable modem?
Is the wireless driver installed and working on the Acer Aspire laptop?
IF not then install the wireless driver.
Download the wireless and device drivers from the Acer WEB site. Make sure you select the model of your laptop the drivers you that require that matches the Windows version that is installed on your laptop. Use this link to get to the Acer support: -

Hi, I have an acer aspire 5535 and I am experiencing problems connecting to my TP-LINK router. After resetting the router and my laptop I can occasionally connect to the internet, however after a period...

Had similar problem with a kindle and BT home hub - had to manually change the wireless channel on the router but couldn't get a channel that worked when the microwave oven kicked in.
I had two kindles and 2 home hubs and came to the conclusion that some devices must be slightly our of calibration and will struggle to connect on certain channels especially if there are near by routers.
In the end I changed my BT router for a Linksys and its been fine since.

Acer aspire onw - has signal with wireless connection but will not connected when clicking on browser

Connecting to wireless signal is not the same as connecting to the internet. Verify the wireless router itself is connected. Your internet provider may be off line.

I have AX1300 ASPIRE acer desktop. I want to know that does this model has feature to access wireless internet.

Dear Sir,
Welcome to fixya....
Please let us tell you about the wireless internet connectivity, for connecting to a wireless medium you must have a wireless (wiFi) card installed to you system which can serve the function of sending and receiving wireless data signals, which unfortunately are not commonly pre-installed int desktop computers.. the alternative to them are external cards and antennas(wireless routers) which can serve the purpose.. such a d-link or tp-link.... please rate this solution and then visit this website in order to switch to d-link official website where u can search your product and where to buy it....

Wireless router compatability

I think yo should do this first before replacing:

To reset the router to factory defaults, connect the Ethernet cable to the router and check and set the settings.

This should allow you to get into the routers menu and see status and information to help you.

You also have to be sure whether or not you have 'allow windows to manage my wireless connection' checked or not
(In you Network setting)

Let me know what happens after that & I'll be glad to help
