On most safes you can get to the batteries on the outside. Look for a slide out panel on the bottom of the push buttons or dial. The safe should store your code in a permanent memory even when the batteries die. Replace the batteries and you should be able to use your old code to get into the safe. If for some reason this doesn't work, there should have been a default code in the literature that came with the safe. If you can't find that then contact the manufacturer and give them the serial number of the safe and they should be able to give you the default code.

Opening my safe when the batteries are low

Without the details of the safe this is very difficult to answer, however most safes have a hidden key slot beneath a clip off panel, If you haven't got a key you would have to resort to a locksmith to pick the override key slot.

Batteries are dead and I've lost the keys. Its an old electronic digital safe and I have the key number that goes with it. Know where I can get replacement keys or if its cheap enough to have...

Only through a licensed locksmith. Provide the key numbers and possibly even take the safe to him/her as proof of ownership. Locksmiths have to record all attemots to open safe's or maling f keysto the police.

Batteries are dead can't open safe

I had the same problem. We finally located where the batteries were hidden. They were below the keypad, There is a silver, plastic cover that slides to the right to expose the 4 AA batteries. Hope this helps you.
