My daughter's Vivicam 3650 broke the plastic tab on the battery door. This is a simple fix....if I had a replacement battery compartment door. Does anyone know where I can order the part??

The base is working as a complete circuit when it is closed completely. Now as the plastic tab which holds battery is broken so the circuit is not getting completed and the software of your camera is not getting message that all parts are functioning accurately. You need that plastic tab or similar tab to fix this problem. Please show your camera in a repair shop and they will get it fixed at very low prize as they normally have such parts with them.
The same thing happened to me this week. I called Canon Canada directly and asked to order the part (The battery compartment door).
They gave me a phone number to call and I was able to order the replacement door for about $8.00 + $10-$12 shipping. Hope this helps!
theres a small plastic hook inside the door which holds a tension spring this will have snapped off stopping the latch from entering the lock its actually quite easy to fix the inner plastic frame can be unclipped with a small flat blade screwdriver exposing the hook mechanism and the spring will be lying in the bottom of the door frame you can reconnect it to the metal inner frame it stretches the spring a little more but it will never snap again ive done this loads of times with no probs otherwise you will have to replace the outer door to reinstate the broken hook.
Same problem, The small plastic tab that extends into the slot to keep the battery compartment door broke off. I can't locate a source for replacement part. I disassembled the slide and reversed it, breaking off the little tip that fit into spring, and it sort of works, but a new plastic slide would be much better.
