Changed phones put sim card in new phone and now is asking for simcode

In canada at least, phones are typically locked to a certain provider. If you are using a sim card from a provider that the phone was not originally purchased from, you will need to contact the original provider to unlock it. Alternatively, for a bit cheaper you can try a google search to find someone who does phone unlocking. They will email you the code to unlock your phone.

You need a new sim.But, call your carrier and they will usually give you the simcode.If they won't buy a new sim.

IF you put PUK code many times depending on the model it wil lock the sim card. This is because to prevent unathorised person using your SIM card.

Default PIN code for nokia mobile is 0000
PUK code will be given by the service provider only.

Please call your service provider or go to service provider office,they will assist you in this issue.And they will have a security check like name,Phone number and other information to check weather the SIM card belongs to you only.Then they will assit you.

hi, the PUK code is the security code for the sim card and not the phone, so the message your being told is that this sim card is now blocked this happens if the wrong PUK code has been entered more than 10 times.

All you need to do is get a new sim card for the network your phone is locked to or the same network as the sim card that is in the phone now, once you put this new sim card in you should be able to use your phone, if how ever it still asks for a PUK code then all you need to do is call the service provider for that sim card and ask them for the PUK code they will give you this code for free over the phone

so your phone is not locked its just the sim card, it could be locked if the sim card has been not used for 180 days as they get switched of after this long with no use, so putting a new sim card in your phone will solve your problem

Open phone, don't go to any menus. Dial *#7780# and press green send button. It will say if you would like to restore factory settings and say yes. Then it asks for a code. This is when you put 12345 and then press OK. This should help because it did for me.
