Monitor menu not showing up on acer monitor, just input button, and no signal error message

  1. Check the input source: Ensure that the input source is set correctly on your monitor. You can do this by pressing the input button on your monitor repeatedly until you find the correct input source.
  2. Check the cable: Ensure that the cable connecting your monitor to the computer is plugged in correctly at both ends. Try using a different cable to see if that resolves the issue.
  3. Restart the computer: Sometimes, a simple restart of the computer can resolve the issue.
  4. Reset the monitor: If the above steps don't work, try resetting your monitor to its default settings. You can do this by accessing the monitor menu and selecting the reset option.
  5. Contact customer support: If none of the above steps work, it may be a hardware issue. Contact Acer customer support for further assistance.

How do i change the input

The 27" TV uses the same instructions as the 20", and I found the manual for you at the link below. Answering your question directly, here is the section of the instructions about changing input:
-----
Changing the TV's Input Normally, your TV displays the signal coming through the antenna terminal. However, if you've connected another component to your TV(such as a VCR & DVD) using the Video/Audio input, you will want to be able to view the signal from the component. To do this, you will need to switch from the ' TV ' input to the 'AV1-AV3, CVI' Input, as follows. 1 With the TV on, press the MENU button twice, then " Set-Up " menu will appear. 2 Use the WCHV buttons to select " Input ". 3 Press the CVOLB buttons to change the input source from ' TV ' to 'AV1, AV2, AV3, CVI'. 4 Wait 20 seconds, or press DISPLAY button or MENU button to return to normal TV viewing. * CVI means the Component Video Input (Y/ PB/ PR) from the DVD player etc.* Users can also select these input modes with the TV/AV button or the INPUT button on theremote controller. * On the AV1 mode , if you connect the S-VHS jack to your TV, "AV1" is changed to "S-VIDEO".

Sylvania MTS/SAP TV.
I don't have a remote
I accidentally hit the ''menu'' button on the front. Now I can't get the TV to show anything but static -- like there is no signal coming in from receiver (either through input jacks on front or on rear. Menu gives various options, but none of them gets me back to being able to see the picture.

Power only comes on for about 2 seconds

Please ensure your input settings are set to the correct input cable used (i.e. VGA, DVI, etc). You will be able to change settings right on the monitor under the "menu" key.

Good Luck,

Monitor

When your computer is starting up, hit F8 and you'll see the safe mode, safe mode with networking, etc. screen...You should see a choice that says "enable vga mode". Select that and windows will start and the os will select a screen resolution for you. After that, everything will work fine...I hope.

Good Luck!
