Trade batteries with a known good unit and see if it solves the problem. If not, your radio has an internal problem and needs replaced. Here's a link to the user guide page.

SOURCE: Motorola T5950 led screen
Typically a blank screen indicates you are using a bad or defective battery. Try the battery of another radio in this unit and see if the problem still exists. There is no function to shut off the display screen, so it is apparent you have either a battery or radio problem. SOURCE: Radio will not transmit, display seems wrong
Here is a link to the user manual for the SV600R. http://www.giantintl.com/ContentManage/manuals/Moto/SX600%2012-21-07.pdf Follow the instructions to reprogram the affected radio. Note: The problem you are describing may not be simply programming. The radio problem may be non-reversible. You might also try a new battery, or switch the battery from the other unit for a test, just to see if the battery is bad.

Remove the battery and reinsert it to reset the radio. Also, check to see if any buttons are depressed or stuck. If these are not the cause, you might have a bad radio. (Sorry)
SOURCE: Can't change channel of a Motorola Visar
The Visar has a channel lock feature. If you hold down the two channel buttons at the same time, it will do one of two things depending on the settings. Either the channel will lock, or the channel numbers in the LCD will flip.
If you press the channel button and the "popples" "pop" (for lack of a better word) then the channel selection buttons re most likely OK. To fix it you just press both channel buttons at the same time for about 5 seconds. It will beep and you should be able to change the channels. If not, then it needs to be repaired.
Hello Ty,
Tis a problem you have there, however I would advise you take one of your radios to radioshack or similar store, and the folk there should be able to assist in finding the apropriate chargers for you.
I hope this helps you in your quest.
Cheers,
Peter
