I had installed new batteries, I installed one incorrectly. Had charger on overnight. I changed that. Now the golf car goes slow in forward and fast in reverse. Need help, what did I do wrong? How do I fix it?

I DON'T HAVE HELP FOR THIS BUT.................WITH MINE THE RELAYS SEEM TO JUST CLICK. DOES FINE IN REVERSE BUT WILL NOT GO FORWARD. I DID GET A WIRING DIAGRAM BUT CAN NOT TELL FROM IT WHAT WOULD BE WRONG. WHAT ARE THE CONNECTIONS ON THE MOTOR. THERE ARE FOUR. WHAT IS WHAT THERE? THANK YOU TRACY

If you send me a copy of the wiring diagram I think I would be able to help you. Generally there is a resistor that restricts speed in reverse. This resistor will be attached to the forward reverse switch. On the surface it sounds like you might have moved the two wires on the forward reverse interlock microswitch?

Recheck your battery wiring. The batteries should be wired in series, neg to pos to neg. I believe one of the batteries behind the driver's side is the main negative and one on the passenger side is the main positive. There is usually a #6 green wire coming from the for/rev switch to a positive battery post, however , it might be a different color, but that one is the reverse wire, It can be on any positive post, just count the number of batteries between green wire and main neg, multiply by 6 and that would be total reverse voltage. If wired correctly all 6 batteries are used for forward.

36V club car. New batteries, new controller, new solonoid, new micro switchs, new cables. It will not make a sound and it will not go. What is wrong?

Verify that all battery cables are wired correctly. Should be in series-- neg to pos , neg to pos etc. Then measure total voltage at the main positive and negative battery posts, should be close to 36 volts. If we are good there then measure the voltage at the small posts of the solenoid when the f/r switch is in either position, the key switch is on and the pedal is pressed. I would do this only if the rear wheels are off the ground. Lets say that you do measure 36 volts there, that would mean the solenoid is probably bad.
Now lets say you don't measure 36 volts. Normally there is a small red wire connected to the main positive battery wire at the charger receptacle, it feeds the key switch, key switch comes back and feeds the micro switch on the back of the f/r switch, then to the positive side of solenoid. So connect black voltmeter lead to main negative and with the red lead measure voltage at solenoid. If no voltage keep working back until you find the trouble.
Assuming you have good voltage on positive side, now we check negative side. You probably have a fan shaped black plastic object mounted on the frame under the seat. It's named V-Glide. When you step on accelerator pedal a micro switch in the v-glide closes and provides negative to the solenoid. I hope this helps.

How do you check output voltage from generator to battery in an club car golf cart

if you look at the charger plug there is a small switch it can either be held down with the cover off or with it on. It should read you between 48 and 50 volts DC with that switch in that switch will keep you from charging the batteries if it is faulty. These chargers are really rather simple and golf cart King has the motherboards cheaper than anywhere else that you can buy them. A thumbs up would be greatly appreciated if answer is helpful for your question. THANK you and GOD BLESS
