Try a hard reset to this TV, and check. There are two types of reset to TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
Service mode entry, adjust and exit procedure to many popular brand TVs are given. Never forget to exit the service mode, after all adjustments have been done.

Stuck on one channel

Is it the tv's remote? Change the batteries
are you on a cable box? You need to use the providers channel changer. Tv is made to stay on one channel like channel 3 and the cable box runs the different channels.

Why is my remote control not working despite changing the batteries.

Not sure if this will help but, I recently put an antenna on the roof of my house. I don't watch TV much but wanted to enjoy some TV, but my remote locked up and the side buttons on the TV wouldn't work either. I tried changing the battery, but no luck. There's a broadcast station 64.2 that is locking up TV's & remotes. Here's the fix that a TV repair co. gave me which did break the lock of the station 64.2.

1) unplug antenna (not roof but connection from TV to wall)
2) unplug and plug back in TV
3) find a way via remote or side buttons to scan channels
4) Go to Menu
5) EZ Setup
6) Channel Set Up-Scan Channels
7) Channel Memory
8) Digital Set Up
9) Turn Skip On for 64.2 (Delete this Channel)
10) Turn off TB
11) Hook Antenna back

You may have to play with the order to acheive the end result or figure out a way to delete 64.2, but during the process you will at least unlock from being stuck on 64.2.

Good Luck if this was the same issue!

Symphonic wf20l6 tv changes channels itself. Not the remote. Can I disconnect a connector that makes the side buttons work so I can use remote only?

The micro-switch to channel up/ channel dn at the side panel has jammed. Replace all the micro-switches there. It wont cost more, and as an easy work to do.

TV is on one channel and will not work with remote or allow me to change channells from side of tv

I've run into this same issue. Although not a complete fix, I was able to program the tv with a basic universal remote. Try using the Goldstar remote codes. While I'm unable to use the channel buttons, I can change channels manually and turn the tv on/off and use the volume button. Again, not a fix, but a work around for now.

Can not change the channels on my Sony Bravia KDL-46V3000. The remote will turn the TV on and off but will not change the channel.

Is this the original remote or a universal remote? Can you change the channel with the buttons on the right side of the TV?

Can you type in a channel number and go to that channel? (this applies if the channel will not change with the buttons on the TV.) Try to rescan the channels (it could be that the TV has the other channels hidden (or lost the list).

If it is a universal remote, you may not have the correct code (just a close one). Try additional codes for Sony TVs. Also when was the remote built? If it was programmed more than 6 months before the TV was released, then it will not have the correct codes. You would need a newer remote. A substitute remote can be obtained from https://servicesales.sel.sony.com/ecom/accessories/web/productSearch.do?sessionId=4q4-Cd8shqFs_c5rcVcD_Lw or http://www.remotes.com/remotes/servlet/rs?a=Search&o=c&uid=0&m=KDL-V32XBR1&uuid=12842263276080 .

I hope this helps.

Can't change channel using the remote or buttons on tv

Simple Fix

I had the same problem, couldn't change the channels with the remote or on the side of the TV. This was for a Vizio 37"

Here is the fix:

1. Turn on TV

2. With remote, press the Menu Button

3. Go to Antenna Menu

4. Select Auto Search
Let it search, it could take several minutes. It may not finish to 100%, mine got stuck at 79% for 10 minutes. It's fine if that happens, go ahead and cancel.

5. It should be done, your remote will work perfect along with the TV channel buttons.

Remote not working on TV

Try programming with Code Search:

1. Manually turn on the device (TV, VCR, etc.) to be controlled.

2. Press and hold Code Search button until the red indicator stays on. Release the Code Search button.

3. Press and release the desired mode button (TV, VCR, etc.). The red indicator blink, then stays lit.

4. Press the Channel Up button repeatedly (up to 300 times) until the device could be controlled changes channel. The red indicator blinks, then stays lit. If you accidentally overshoot the code required, press the Channel Down button to backtrack through the library until the device changes channel. Pressing Channel Up changes direction to forward again. Press and release the Mute button to install the code.

Hope this helps :)
