My sidekick 3 won't turn on and i just got it today

I bought a Sidekick 3 on ebay. I just got it today and it wont even turn on, but when I have it plugged in there's an orange glowing dot. I need help!!

Oooh, bad news. You probably got a sidekick 3 that had a bad charging port. Return for a refund if you can.

the Sidekick 3 has a charging issue thatcrops up after awhile. It will just not charge the battery.A good way to tell is if the orange light comes on but the phone never charges.

You can get an external battery charger for the sidekick for about 25 dollars that will allow you to charge the sidekick 3 battery separate.

To be able to send pictures and what not with the sidekick 3 you need to have the sidekick data plan. That is part of the error message you are getting when first turning it on.Without it, all you can do is text and phone

press menu + L at the same time to bypass this screen. This will continue to come up every time you start the phone. by default, it wasn't the t-mobile sidekick data plan and always searches for it on start up

Sidekick 3 brand new off ebay. not charging or turning on at all.
Was the sidekick brand new in the box or just breand new to you? The sidkeick has an issue with the charging port going bad. It will look like it is charging, the little orange light is on, but power is not actually glowing to the battery. If you just bought it, I would return to the seller as it is more than likely defective.

Sounds like you unit is not charging. The Sidekick ID's are notorious forthat. If you have a friend that has a sidekick ID or Sidekick 3, see ifyou can try their battery to make sure you phone is working ok.

If so, your best option is to get an external charger that has a sparebattery slot That way you can charge the battery outside the phone!They run about 25-30 dollars on ebay. an extra battery is a good idea so you can have one charger at all times.

My sidekick three has glitches and the backlight wont turn on
If the backlight on your sidekick 3 is dead, you will need to replace the lcd assy. They runa bout 30 dollars on ebay and are easy to do.

I bought a sidekick 3 off ebay but it is still locked to the previous owner's sim card number
I had the same problem with the sidekick i bought off of ebay , when you cal customer care just tell them you got it off ebay and you need the old users information deleted, they will give you step by step instructions on how to do so. Remember to not call on your sidekick becasue you will have to restart the phone.
