Rear wheel retaining/spring clip
Old clip just pulls out with pliers if it's jammed. Hard part is finding a new clip. Try eBay or face book. I sell them but have to post them from New Zealand. Google bugaboo repair guy.

The part of the front wheels that pokes out above the connection point has two slightly flared pieces. Squeeze them together and pull the wheel back through the connection point.

i'm sure you have solved this already, but yes, there should be two pieces that attach to the back axle that the board slides onto to attach it to the stroller. It wont work without these parts. The person you bought them from probably still has these parts attached to their stroller.

Had exactly same experience today. I emailed Bugaboo (via website) and got a reply the same day.
I attached the clips the wrong way round. The picture in the manual is not very clear....The little 'roofs' have to face each other and than you are able to push the clips further over the axle. The slot of the clip fits over where the small wheels comes in on the bar.
