Hi i bought a new ikc1816. The prob that i face is that the "second" hand (longer one) when starts by pressing button "s1" the smaller hand on the above eye (i guess it is called 1/10th second hand) also...

this is a chronograph I think and what you are referring to as the long second hand is actually the chrono hand the seconds hand is at 9 oclock on this model and the smaller hand that is moving simultanusly is actually the chrono revolution counter

The 24hr hand is meant to keep time in another

I too was confused at first at setting the second hand after reading the directions. I read your post in searching for a solution, then I figured it out. Check the watch face, the second hand is operating using military time. (24 hr. time) You will see 24 hour time embedded on the face.
For example: if you wanted to set both hands to be at the same time to test this. At say 10 p.m. set the second time hand to 22 for 2200 hrs. (10 p.m.) Let's say you woke up at 7 a.m. The second hand would be at 0700 (Embedded on watch face) then at noon it would say 1200 on the watch face... I now use the normal hands for local time and set the 24 hour hand for my home time.
I hope this helps.

Invicta model 3209 watch

Your watch is fitted with chronograph movement 5040D made by Ronda (Switzerland). If you take a closer look, then you will realise that the subdial at 3 o'clock is counting seconds allready. This is your seconds dial, not the big one.
The big seconds hand actually is the chronograph hand (stopwatch) and, when activated, works together with 1/10th counter.
Follow this link and see for yourself:

Find movement 5040D and click on INTERACTIVE version.

Need to know how to operate Cartier Tank Francaise Chronography W

The top button is for chronograph function and puts the chronograph seconds hand in motion. The bottom button is for resetting chronograph seconds hand to zero.
Do as follows:
1) push the top button once- seconds hand starts moving,
2) push the top button once more- seconds hand stops,
3) push the bottom button once- seconds hand returns to zero.
You can repeat as many times as you like- seconds hand will allways start the countdown from zero.
Depending on what movement your watch has(mechanical or quartz), there can be more variations, but the basics are as described.
If you need more info, supply full info of your watch(make, model, numbers, etc.), please.
Do not forget to rate, please.

My timex indiglo watch beeps on the hour. How do I take it off so it does not beep on the hour?

Thwat is the chime. Some how it must have been turned on. Somewhere on the watch you will see a little bell or wave figure )))) There is 1 of 2 ways that you chime can be turned off. The first way to try is to push both buttons on the right hand side at the same time that should turn off the chime or the alarm, but if you do it more than once it will turn off whatever wasn't turned off the first time you pushed the button, and if you push them again, it will go back to the configuration you started with. The second way would be to go to your alarm modeand push the button that is NOT your light button or your "mode" or "adjust" button and push that button, that should cycle through the charm and alarm as went through before. If you find that neither one of these ways work, send me the model # and I will get you the information you need. PLEASE if you still have problems let me know!! Good Luck!!!
