Check the drive belt is on the pullys at both ends, make sure the cable is connected from the handle to the engagement device, open the deck cover and be sure a bolt has not come undone. If it all works but the front tires are still not turning then the transmission device is bad & must be replaced. If it's still under warranty, bring it back to store they usually have a factory authorized repair shop they deal with to fix it.

Did you follow instructions and put it into gear after motor start? If you did and still no go, transmission not working- since new take it back and have it replaced.

My Toro 20332 started to squeal at the end of last season when I engaged the self-propel. I replaced the drive belt last week, thinking it was loose and worn, now it really squeals. Any thoughts?

The belt is slipping and that causes the squeal. If it squeals with a new belt, it is indicative that something is not turning freely, causing the belt to slip.

20332 recycler will not self propel. Brand new out of the box.

Check the drive belt from the pully around the shaft to the drive gear. It may be off the pully. Not a big deal just put it back on.

Toro 20333 self propel. Doesn't engage. l

Is the tension spring gone? How is the cable? Usually there is a spring at the end of the cable in which when you pull back on the bar with your hands, this tightens the belt so that it engages with the engine allowing the wheels to turn.

I have a self-propelled walk behind number and the wheels quit spinning and the mower becomes very difficult to push. I am so frustrated. The mower has only been used five or six times and is brand new,...

I would probably take it back to where I bought it to begin with. But, I have an old Huskavara mower self propelled, at times if I set it on top of two 4 x 6 blocks (6 inches up) I have to take off the wheels and clean up the axles using thinner, degreaser, or gas, anything to break down oil or dirt. Then I oil the surfaces and reassemble, and the wheels work for a while.

Vacuum too hard to push

If it is new, you can take it in for warranty repair. Is the self propelled turned on? Cable may have broke, or have a bad drive belt.
