I was wondering how to bypass the lockout switch on a 2001 pt cruiser window master switch. The actual button is broken on the switch so the rear windows do not open/close. Only the front windows...

2001 PT Cruiser rear wiper stops in the wrong position

Try to open the wiper motor gear section only, maybe the wiper parking contacts need a little cleaning. Check also for possible cracks on gear.

Do you care to kindly share how "easy and simple" it is to remove the shroud around the steering wheel because it is not budging for me any which I pry and try and already did some very disheartening damage to the shroud because of such?

The wipers quit on my 06 cruiser. they had been coming on and off by themselves for a while and then just quit. the back wipers work fine.

if power to wiper motor, then replace the wiper motor. if no power when switch is on, it is most likely the wiper switch thats bad. check the relays and fuses first! good-day!

sounds like the turn signal switch is shorting out needs to be replaced.

2006 PT Cruiser Wipers Don't work

I had the same problem. It was the wiper computer module according to the dealership. Fortunately it was covered under extended warranty and cost $100 deductible.
