Whymy buil in acer cryatal eye webcam doesnt work? 'camera not found' is always in d screen whenever i click it, and when i use it with videochatting d screen is all black.help!i have an acer 2930Z.

ok this problem is caused by the wrong drive installed for the Crystal Eye Web cam.

even thoguh the camera shows that it is installed, the application looks for a specific one for the model you have. Unfortunatly Acer used 3 models of the camera without telling you which you have and calls all of them "crystal eye web cam"

go to acer.com select their support section and download all driver and applications available for the camera. you will need to try then 1 at a time til you get the one that works for your system

I have found the solution to the problem.... It's quiet hard though... You pick up your laptop and throw it with all force on the ground and jump on it, and buy a new one :]

You haven't installed the drivers, install webcam drivers and then your webcam software will recognise a camera.

update the driver installer or download the driver web cam

update the web cam drivers or download a new..here...>>www.acer.com

Go 2 Start then go 2 Crystal Eye Webcam

If it still doesn't wrk do the following

Ctrl+Alt+Del

Keep on click delete like 10 times

Then press the turn off button and tell me if it doesn't wrk

Unistall Windows Live Messenger
Erase the installation folder and this (XP): .\Documents and Settings\All Users\WLinstaller (or something that begins with WL and sound like that)
in Vista is in .\ProgramData\
REBOOT: REALLY IMPORTANT, I DID IT WITHOUT REBOOT AND DIDN'T WORK
After reboot, reinstall.
And everything's done.

in this case, you need to reload the whole operating system.
You can try to uninstall and install the camera application but i amnot sure that will work.
I have that experience before, I tried uninstall and install camera application, still same so i just reload the whole operating system and it work.

may be other tech have solution for this case ?
