Hi, This problem arise by the two reson. first is that your keypad is sort,and another one is that your keypad IC life is having problem. it is not a phone board problem . first clean the keypad and give some sun warm to it .is still not working then just change the keypad ic.it is not so costly. i hope this will be helpfull to you. please rates me. The keypad controller is defective, behind it there is the microprocessor ic mounted on a board with several other parts. The whole keypad and circuit board must be replaced, and the cost just for the part will run more than a new microwave.

There are three possible points of failure; the keypad itself (of course), the connecting cable from the keypad to the board with the electronics on it, and finally the integrated circuit that decodes keypresses.
You might be able to check two of these with any multimeter; the keypad for contact failure, the cable for continuity.
The IC decoder could be somewhat measured if you have the part number to find a pinout for it.
IF the IC has failed, it may not be manually replaceable: in other words it would have to be replaced.
In my experience, the board will cost 1/3- to 1/2 the cost of a new microwave since the manufacturers are not really interested in seeing their products repaired at all.

Get in touch with the nearest Nokia Care. They will tell how much and will replace it too.

Hi!... You will need a technical guy with this type of problem, a keypad IC. Its responsible for sending inputs to your phones processor. If I would service it i will reheat the IC or change it.... Your other optinon would be if your phone is under warranty better avail it... or if not try to see a celphone technician.

hi your keypad is layed on a board that is connected on a ic when your buttons dont work it seems your ic has gotten wet the only way to repair that is to send iy in to a cell repairman unfortunately the gaurantee has been voided

If this is yours, I would suggest you look at a few 'universal' replacements; the quoted cost of ~$770 is ridiculous.

The chances that anyone has the appropriate replacement parts on hand (they are often either custom ICs or programmed ICs) is close to nil.

You might want to try Onkyo direct but if the set is more than a few years old, don't expect much help.
