SOURCE: projection lamp timer reset

I need help resetting the lamp timer. Is there a way to reset the timer w/o the remote? We bought this tv as a floor model 4 yrs ago and they didn't have the actual remote that came with it, so they gave us another remote that works. We replaced the lamp but we keep getting the message that the lamp needs to be replaced and the timer reset. Plus the red lamp indicator is still on. We even used a friend's remote (he has the exact same tv) and it still will not reset the timer.

SOURCE: Lamp indicator flashes red 3 times every 5 secs.

Three blinks - B+ over voltage protection (OVP), unit goes to the standby mode then displays the 3 blink fault. This is also a problem in the power supply circuit, check T603 and R672.

hi,
Did you reset the lamp hour after replacing the lamp. If not do the following for the same and try again. Also check is the lamp inserted is correct or not. Also check the lamp cover is properly closed or not.

press the "Help" button on the remote control for a minimum of 10 seconds while in standby mode. When the lamp time clock is reset to zero, the LAMP indicator (red light )goes out.

LG RU-60SZ30 when turning the tv on the power lite changes from red to flashing amber, flashes 6 to 7 times then turns back to solid red. The tv never actually starts. Before this the tv would randomly...

I have read another solution which may indicate the light engine has failed and will likely need replacing. The cost is quite expensive. $1500 range and apparently the part is no longer available from LG. Best you might do is get an estimate to repair just to be sure.

We replaced the lamp about 6 months ago..but now it cuts off randomly..the red light and one green light will flash? Lamp replacement was when all 3 lights were flashing. Suggestion?

Is the picture quality good if it is then the lamp is ok try to reset the lamp timer if you haven't all ready. I think that the problem is coming from the ballast board this is the power source to the lamp, with time this part starts to ware out and starts to get weak. that is the reason your lamp does not stay on

Hello, I have a 52525 and the lamp indicator went

push the menu and device buttons on the front of the set both in together and hold for 6 seconds and see what two digit error codes blinks. It will most likely blink a 3 pause then 4 and then repeat the sequence indicating a 34 error for lamp abnormality which is almost always caused by faile capacitors on the Power pwb.

Replaced lamp and now can't get a picture

Hi Sally Jo, Unit powers on and works properly for a while then shuts off with a red lamp LED (lamp error). Suspect bad lamp part # 915P020010 2. Lamp enable line at J14 pin 6 does not switch to 5 volts after turn on, 12 and 5 volt supplies are good. Suspect the Light Engine part # 939P977010 3. At power on the lamp turns on and off three times and then the unit shuts down with a red lamp LED (lamp error). Replace the Light Engine part # 939P977010 4. Check for 12-volts DC at J-9 connector pin 4 on the Engine Driver PCB, if missing check for an open F9A09 on the Power PCB, if it is open replace F9A09 part # 283P127060 and the Light Engine part # 939P977010 5. Lamp enable line at connector J14 pin 6 on the Engine Driver PCB switches to 5 volts after turn on but does not go back to 0-volts (low) after 5 seconds, 12 and 5 volt supplies are good. Suspect the Light Engine part # 939P977010 6. Check for 5-volts DC at J-9 connector pin 1 and 2 on the Engine Driver PCB if missing replace the Power PCB part # 934C148001. Hope this helps!

Lamp problem or not?

2 years and three months but, what counts are the hours that it was on. Your software only really effects the way the TV interacts with HDMI inputs and really won't effect much else. The manufactures only expect 4-5000 hours on the lamp. Some go less some go more. You need to replace that lamp most likely.
