If your microwave is ducted to the exterior the cold air could be from the outside if the backdaft damper is not functioning properly. If you have a HVAC system, the return air process can be pulling outside air through the hood making the condition worse. The microwave damper is usually on top of the microwave unit at the exhuast opening. Maybe some greasy dust is preventing the damper from closing all the way.

From what I can see online, the microwave is attached to the wall via a mounting plate, so if you lifted the microwave up and out at least the top if not all of the microwave should be released from the mounting plate.

Sears has went to a new model the MD series that you can purchase. No, not with the same mounting hardware. You have to replace everything. I recommend Panasonic first if you can find it in a hanging hood model, Whirlpool second. Make sure you also install a 2000 joule or larger surge protector. Good Luck, Appliance Specialists

sears should be able to get you the installation instructions and maint manual for this also, get on line go to sears.com and look up uour microwave part number like you did and look for the manuals

You put a mounting plate on the wall behind where the unit will be mounted. Then the microwave hooks onto the bottom of the mounting plate and you swing it up to the cabinet above it. Then you must screw 2 mounting screws through the floor of the cabinet above into the bracket on top of the microwave.
