Hello sir,

often this is sound IC fault, if one IC there change it and it will fix the other audio output, as the sound IC have two outputs and one of it doesn't output the audio,

if two sound IC's, it's a must one of it is faulty, you better change both for long run of the audio amplifier

good luck

Manual says only audio inputs are output to the rca audio outputs. How can I get digital audio inputs to output to where I can connect wireless speakers.

Does your receiver have a set of rca connectors labeled "tape out" or "tape monitor" those might work as a better output. As far as the delay goes, if you have your tv hooked up via hdmi, then you will not be able to get the audio to sync up with it. the tv takes longer to decode and display an hdmi output than your receiver does for an audio input.

My PS3 will not play sound on my Sony Bravia HDX275 surround sound system. I have the HDMI cable plugged from the PS3 to the TV. I have another HDMI cable from the receiver to the TV as well as a opitcal...

Hello,

Adjust the system's audio output settings. These settings are mainly used when the system is connected to audio devices that support digital audio output, such as AV amplifiers (receivers) for home entertainment systems.
1.
Confirm the formats supported by your audio device.
Settings vary depending on supported formats. For details, refer to the instructions supplied with the audio device.
2.
Select in_soundset.gif (Sound Settings) under in_setting.gif (Settings) in the home menu.
3.
Select [Audio Output Settings].
4.
Select the input connector on the audio device. Channel numbers and audio formats that are supported vary depending on the connector in use.

Select audio output formats.
Select all output formats that are supported by the audio device in use. If [Audio Input Connector / SCART / AV MULTI] is selected in step 4, the screen for selecting audio output formats will not be displayed. If [HDMI] is selected, you can also select to automatically set the audio output format. (In this case, the HDMI device must be turned on.)

Check your settings.
You can go back to the previous screen and revise the settings by pressing the in_left_key.gif button.
soundoutput002.jpg 7.
Save your settings.
The audio output settings are saved on the system.
Hints
  • [Linear PCM 2 Ch.] audio is set to be output from all output connectors by default. If you change the audio output settings, audio will be output only from the connectors that were set.
  • If you change the audio output settings, the system will no longer be able to output audio from multiple output connectors at the same time. For example, if your system is connected to a TV via an HDMI cable and to an audio device via a digital optical cable and you switch to [Digital Out (Optical)] under [Audio Output Settings], audio will no longer be output from the TV. To output audio from the TV, switch the setting to [HDMI], or select in_setting.gif (Settings) > in_soundset.gif (Sound Settings) > [Audio Multi-Output] and set the option to [On].
  • If you select [Linear PCM 2 Ch. 88.2 kHz] or [Linear PCM 2 Ch. 176.4 kHz] in step 5, sound may be intermittent or may not be emitted from some audio devices.
  • When using an HDMI cable, only [Linear PCM 2 Ch.] audio will be output from PlayStation®2 and PlayStation® format software. To output Dolby Digital or DTS audio, you must connect the PS3™ system and the audio device using a digital optical cable and switch to [Digital Out (Optical)] under [Audio Output Settings].
  • If a device that is not compatible with the HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection) standard is connected to the system using an HDMI cable, video and/or audio cannot be output from the system.

Hope it helped.

Yamaha RX-V661 - no audio since I hooked up digital converter box

Immediately you have the problem of TV audio out to DVR audio out. Inputs go to outputs and outputs go to inputs - always.
I think what you may want to do is daisy chain all your audio (e.g. audio output of Tivax to audio input of VCR. Audio output of VCR to audio input of DVR. Audio output of DVR to an audio input of the Yamaha) In order to get the audio from any given device to the reciever, you may have to power up all of components.) Of course in order to record on the VCR and DVR you would attach the antenna to the RF input on the Tivax , RF output to the RF input of the VCR, RF output of the VCR to the RF input of the DVR and finally the RF output of the DVR to the antenna input of the TV. I don't know whether there would be any losses in such an elaborate hookup such that the RF signal would not be strong enough to get stations but you can experiment by just taking links out of this daisy chain. Hope this helps.

Digital Audio out in MACBOOK PRO.

Connect external speakers, headphones, or optical digital audio equipment. The headphone / line output jack accommodates optical digital audio output, analog audio output with a 24-bit, 44.1-192 kHz D/A converter, digital audio output up to 24-bit stereo and 44.1-192 kHz sampling rate and supporting encoded digital audio output (AC3 and DTS). For analog headphone / line output a standard audio cable with 3.5mm metal plug should be used. For digital audio, a standard Toslink cable with a Toslink mini-plug adapter can be used.
You can find the Digital to Analog converted:

Cant find audio output

On the earlier model AOC 32", there was only 1 audio output in the form of a digital Toslink output (fiber optic). An updated model was introduced in late 2008 which included a left and right phono audio output. The only ways to combat the lack of phono audio output on the earlier model are to either, A: Purchase an analog to digital converter online, or B: Go through a device with an analog to digital audio converter built in. Something like a stereo receiver should do this without any problem. Hope this helps.

Volume control doesn't work on the enternal speaker

On some sets that have audio output jacks, the level of the audio output on the RCA jacks is fixed, and it does not change with the TV's volume control. On some sets, such as Sony, you can choose fixed or variable output. I have also seen some sets that have both fixed and variable RCA jacks on the back. With variable audio out, the audio level at the audio output jacks follows the TV's volume control. If you go into the TV's menu and navigate to the audio page, look for fixed or variable output options. If you have the owner's manual, read the section on audio output. If variable output is not an option on your model, then the level is constant and the volume will have to be adjusted with the stereo's volume control.
