Garmin1450 with md 32mb formatted t fat 32. Garmin wont recognize card but tells me only 12 memory used ?

Make of card?
You may need to partition the card into 2 32 GB partitions.
Many devices cannot deal with more than 32 GB.
Format card as FAT 32.

My card's properties shows "Generic Flat" probably a linux file system. A windows OS will show the card when inserted in the device but there is no option to format. When inserted in a card reader windows will not recognize it. Resign yourself to using the card in the phone or find a linux computer. Formatting an SD Memory Card or Internal Memory This utility formats the internal memory (or memory card) and erases all stored images and data. 1. Press the button to turn on your ViviCam 3785. 2. Press the MODE button twice to enter [ ] Playback mode. Then press the button to enter the Playback menu. 3. Select [Delete] by using the / buttons, and press the button. 4. Select [Format ] by using the / buttons, and press the button. 5. If you want to format your SD memory card or the internal memory choose [OK] by pressing / buttons, then press the button to confirm.
To cancel the action, select [Cancel] instead.
[No Image] pops up after the SD memory card or internal memory has been formatted. Note:
Be sure the SD memory card is properly inserted into the camera before formatting it.
To format the internal memory, be sure to remove your SD memory card first.
Formatting will erase all information (even unrelated , non-camera data) from the memory/card.
For complete compatibility, be sure NOT to select FAT 32 as the file system when you format the SD card in your computer. Memory cards formatted in FAT 32 file system will not be recognized by this ViviCam 3785.

CHANGE U R FORMAT MEDIUM FROM, FAT TO FAT 32....IF IT IS ALREADY IN FAT 32 THEN CHANGE IT TO FAT AND FORMAT.....

hi i take it your talking about putting a memory card into the phone, what you need to do is try formatting the memory card into fat or fat 16 or fat 32 then try it again in the phone, if that fails you will need to get samsung pc suite and format it that way the phone wont recognise it if its in the wrong format

i got the same message after formatting the card. "this card cant be used"
i reformatted the card again but instead of selecting FAT 32 I selected FAT.
Placing the card in the camera it worked as normal.
Seems to be a simple and easy solution. hope its useful.

So format your card with your computer, you may need a card reader if you don't have one already, go to the SD drove and format it using FAT. place it back into the camera and see if that helps

Reformat the memory card, check for the details of the SD card, and format it to fat or fat 32.

You do not need to screw with an SD card, they are formated to take whatever data you send to them, but in your case check by reading the card to see what is on it BEFORE you put it in the GPS. It may have junk files on it, thus there is no room, unless of course you try to load to much data, THERE IS A LIMIT, suggest you read the GPS manual, and see what the limit of the size of the card is for that GPS, yes there is a limit!

while formating the memory card in the pc select the option FAT
instead of FAT 32

MMC puchased should be formatted once, because new MMC comes with file system FAT-32. and mobile phones supports FAT file system. You can copy your data from MMC to PC using MMC reader/writer first. Then format it in your mobile and then reload your data in formatted MMC at folder created during formatting. Then you may see your MMC working properly. Fix your problem and vote here to fixya for solution....
