it might be the remote.

is it a diesel engine? if so its a warning that the glow plugs havnt heated to temp yet. therefore telling you it's not ready to drive yet. if so and you never had this problem before then you may have some glow plugs that need changed, or voltage is lower not allowing them to heat up as quickly as they did before

Sounds like a fan clutch problem or ??
Can you drive it and when it quits cooling check and see if the compressor is still running ?

When you turn the key on does the airbag light light up? The air bag module will beep codes if the air bag light is not working.

check the fuse and the fuel pump relay,then try resetting the computer by disconnecting from battery for five minutes,if still nothing you have to trace the wire somewhere its lost current.

Your issue would actually be with your transfer case I believe, do not tow in 4 wheel drive. A 5.4 super duty can pull a house on skids.... ask previous owner if rear differential has been swapped out as well. Just as an after thought, first make sure your camper brakes are not engaged...if it has brakes.
