OK here is my fix. If you have any Roxio installed i suggest you uninstall all first. I went to my computer and did a search for roxio. i deleted every thing that said roxio. I then went into regedit and did the same search roxio, i then deleted every registry entry that said roxio. It installed with o problem.
i messed with this for days.
before i found the fix.
Windows 7 ultimate 64 was the operating system on a quad core I7 2.4 ghz A sager note book.
Uninstall the application, turn off the computer, wait for 30 secs, turn on again, reinstall the MyDVD and reintroduce the license key you have. If this not fix, maybe you should have to repeat the process but, before, make the next: - run the "regedit" tool and clean all the information that had stored in the registry file about Roxio MyDVD; - delete all folders wich happens to exist in the "programs files" and "my documents" folders related to Roxio MyDVD; - browse to "c:\documents and settings\(YOUR NAME)\locals configurations (I don't know if this is the correct name in your lang, cause i'm brazilian, and here is this way) \temp" directory and delete all files that have in it. Now, you are ready to reinstall your app. If this not fix, contact the Roxio Support and say you've lost the license key. They'll send you a new LK. I think... Good luck, man.
The only legitimate way to get a new CD key is to contact Roxio directly.
The instructions for doing so can me located here: http://www.roxio.com/enu/support/service/cs_findcdkey.html
They will help you if you purchased the software directly from them or if you registered it after purchase. Replacement of a lost CD-key on software purchased from a brink and mortar venue, like Staples for instance, that wasn't registered is totally at Roxio's discretion. They specifically state they are not liable for lost keys under such circumstances.
After working with Roxio, if you find the software you're looking for, Roxio Tech Support will not be able to give you support. Try contacting Inside Sales or a Roxio Technician and see if they can give you a copy of the software again - it will just depend on where you purchased your original version.
