Supco wiring an old freezer. Orange wire?

Was the orange wire on a switched live on the old compressor connections? It may come on when the compressor goes off in that case. If not, recheck the schematic for the other end of the heater. If it has a neutral, join the orange to the live feed to the supco. If it has a live, leave the orange on the neutral of the supco.

Not sure how to wire Supco RO41 Relay/Overload Combo to Maytag side by side Fridge MSD2454GRW. It's a universal part, so it's different than the manufacturer's part, but I just want to see if...

while i loath those RO41 because your compressor will be dead SOON. The 2 black wires connect to the wires were connected to the wiring on FACTORY RELAY AND OVERLOAD WHICH WAS ORIGINALLY CONNECTED TO WHERE THE RED/WHITE/AND BLACK WIRES WITH THE TERMINALS NOW ARE.

my advice though is throw that thing in the trash and get factory OEM relay and overload

What rewiring is needed to replace the overload relay with a universal kit, on an upright freezer? Kelvinator model VA16 W. There are two relays that connect to the compressor that need to be replaced....

The two pieces are Relay and Overload.

If you are using a supco relay/overload combination that has three wires with terminals and two wires with stripped ends the wiring is as such.

Red-Run Terminal, White-Start Terminal, Black-Common Terminal (Overload was wired to this)

Stripped wires are connected to line cord along with condenser fan wires.

Compessor will not come on. I hit the compressor with my hand and it came on until the fridge was cold again and it shut off. Now it will not come on again.

You need to replace the overload/relay , plugged onto the side of the compressor , with 2 or 3 wires going to it . When you hit the compressor , the jolt , reset the overload .

Compressor problem, installing the Supco 3-in-1 Relay

Hi, If the 3 posts are top center and bottom right left, the black wire goes top the top center post. The red wire will go to the bottom right and the white goes to bottom left.
If the posts are bottom center and top right left, the black goes on bottom center and the red goes top left. The white goes top right.
If you do not see a capacitor, disregaurd the wires in the 3-1

you can replace with an supco 3 n 1 for 1/3 1/4 (if run capacitor is used)

or use the combination relay/overload for 1/4 1/3(if there's no run capacitor)
