Before you start to drill tile put some masking tape onto the face of the tile and mark exactly where you want to drill. Never use a hammer action when drilling tile, just normal drilling action and do not use much pressure , allow drill bit to drill. Hand turn drill bit back wards a couple of turns before starting to drill so that the tile is scored. You will need to use a specialist tile drill or a drill designed to drill all. I personally use Bosch Drill all drills for drilling tile. Hope this helps
Go to Lowes, Home Depot, Menards or reasonably good Hardware store. buy a ceramic bit. They are usually with the wood, steel and concrete bits. Small bits arent to pricy. If you need a larger hole like the on the shower pipe goes through, you will need a ceramic hole saw. Hole saws are coated with diamond chips and will probably cost $40 or more. good Luck
