Standby light stays on but TV will not turn on . Checked power source it works. My alarm clock works in both plug ins how do I get the TV on?
Check the LOT (Line Output Transformer) too for damage. Replace the horizontal scan output transistor. Check the input voltage to LOT. If the voltage is absent check the feeder resistor; if any. you probably have some sort of overheating or short on the internal board - is it still on warranty? if so they will fix at no charge - if not, a local repair shop should be able to correct the problem but it may cost as much as $150
