Eee 1005ha keyboard and touchpad suddenly freezes at random times

Mine does the same. I don't know what it is. It's not that it's frozen up because every program I'm running continues to run and when I press the power off button it brings up the choices to turn off restart or stand by.

Gmail suddenly freezes. Everything else works

Maybe you did not download Chrome directly from Google?
Download the free version of Malwarebytes (Anti-Malware) from https://www.malwarebytes.com/ and install it; then run it (takes an hour or more) to see if it can locate and deal with any malware in your computer. Then uninstall Chrome, reboot. Finally go to https://www.google.com/chrome/ and download genuine Chrome again. Install it, run it. Le's hope it works this time!

I have an older commercial upright Hobart freezer. The freezer seems to operate fine, cycling but always returning the compartment to zero degrees, until all of a sudden the temperature went up, well...

In most cases, an evap that freezes up is either an air flow problem or no defrost cycle. Older Hobarts have mechanical defrost time clocks. It could be locked up i.e., not running so no defrost cycle.
It could be coming out of defrost too early because the sensor that monitors the evap temp is not working properly.
The door could not be closing. If left cracked open, it will freeze up every time as unit never hits temp., keeps unit running. Warm air is seeping in and the moisture freezes on evap.
Lastly, the defrost heater(s) may not be working. Burned out, shorted, broken wire, etc.

Good luck and hope this helps.

Computer Freeze

Firsly i would of asked what exactly the repairer did to it to solve the problem, and then ask for a refund as it is no better. But we can try and solve it here, by looking for the cause next time it freezes, go to control panel>administrative tools>event viewer, then look at 'application' on the left column and click on it and on the right a list of applications that have been run will list, look for any red 'x' and double click on that line and the problem will show and send yot to microsoft for a possible solution. look also on the 'system' again in the left panel and again look for red x's, but ignore any warning(!) marks. It may also be a graphics driver, so update you graphics driver or even try an older one from the card manufacturer web site. Another common freezing problem can be down to overheating, so take the side of the pc off and check there are no dust building on the fans and that there are no cables obstructing the air flow, leave the side off the pc whilst using and see if it still freezes. Also lastly, usb wireless network cards have been known to be a cause for freezing because of poor drivers, so if you have one try dissabling the software programme that runs your network card and enable WZC, which is Windows Zero Configuration, as this is more stable.
