Why can't I get out of Google tap to talk screen?

In certain conditions, the talk back is still operating even when you already turned off the option. The possible reason for it is that you have Google Text To Speech (Google TTS) and/or Samsung TTS and you need to disable them in order to completely disable talk back mode on your phone.

Here are the complete steps to do:

1. Go to Settings.
2. Tap Application manager.
3. Tap Running tab.
4. Tap All tab.
5. From here, disable Google Text to Speech Engine and also disable Samsung TTS.
6. Tap Home button to return to the standby mode.

I'm not sure what exactly you are trying to do. Google talk is the messaging system. It doesn't talk to you it is used for communication with your friends.

The Google app is the voice search engine. You have to be in the app and either tap the microphone or say "ok google" and then state what you want.

You need to have a registered Google account on your phone in order to reset the screen unlock pattern. In case you do not have a registered Google account, You must repair the phone software before tapping "Forgot pattern". The phone is locked if the incorrect screen unlock pattern was entered fives times in a row.

Follow the procedure below to repair the phone software:
> Open PC Companion 2.0 on the computer, tap Start then Repair in the "Support zone" application and follow the instruction you see on the screen. Please note that all personal data stored will be lost and the installed software on your device will be replaced. In case it is not possible to repair the phone software, contact your Sony Customer Support.

If ever you entered the incorrect screen unlock pattern five times, tap "Forgot pattern" then tap "Answer question" then tap "Next" and enter your answer for the security question. Next, tap "Unlock".

To reset it using your registered Google account, tap "Enter Google accounts details" then tap "Next". Tap the "Username" then enter the registered Google account username. Next, tap "Password" to enter the registered Google account password then tap "Unlock".

1. From your Home Screen, Tap Safari. Type http://iapnupdateatt.straighttalk.com. Tap Go

2. Safari closes. Install Profile opens. Tap Install. Tap Install Now

3. Tap Done. Safari reopens.

4. Turn your iPhone off. Turn it back on. Make sure you turned the power off, not just put it to sleep.
5. After restart, Tap Settings->WiFi->Off

What to do if your data doesn't work? If your data connection isn't working. Try the other Carrier APN profiles from the Straight Talk web site. You can only have one APN profile installed at a time. Each time you want to install a new profile, you need to remove the old one first.
9. Tap Settings->General ->Profile

12. If data still doesn't work. Go back to step 1. but try this URL: http://iapnupdate.straighttalk.com/
13. If you have tried all three Straight Talk Carrier APN profiles and your data still doesn't work, try the Straight Talk profile from the unlockit.co.nz web site.
14. From your Home Screen, Tap Safari, Load http://unlockit.co.nz

15. Tap Create APN
16. Tap Country. choose United States. Tap OK.

17. Tap Carrier. Select StraightTalk. Tap OK

18. Tap Create APN.

19. Tap Install. Tap Install Now

20. Tap Done

Repeat steps 4-8 to test your data connection.

Reset the screen unlock pattern

If the incorrect screen unlock pattern is entered five times in a row, the phone is locked.
Note: In order to reset the screen unlock pattern you need to have a registered Google account on your phone. If you don't have a registered Google account on your phone, you must repair the phone software before tapping Forgot pattern.
To reset the screen unlock pattern by answering a security question:

1. If entering the incorrect screen unlock pattern five times, wait for 30 seconds and then tap Forgot pattern?.
2. Tap Answer question > Next.
3. Enter the answer for the security question.
4. Tap Unlock.

To reset the screen unlock pattern by entering Google account details:

1. Tap Enter Google accounts details > Next.
2. Tap the Username field and enter the phone registered Google account username.
3. Tap the Password field and enter the phone registered Google account password.
4. Tap Unlock.

To repair the phone software:

1. On the computer: Open PC Companion 2.0.
2. In the Support Zone application, click Start > Repair and follow the instructions on the screen.

Note: The installed software on your phone will be replaced, and all personal data stored will be lost.
Tip: If it is not possible to repair the phone software, please contact your Sony Ericsson Customer support.

To unlock the pattern screen lock without signing in with your Google account You need to repair the software of the phone.


The steps to repair the phone are the following:

1. On the computer: Start PC Companion™.
2. On thecomputer: In the Support Zone™ descriptor, in the Software Updatesection click Start > (Repair) and follow the instructions on the PCmonitor screen.
3. Turn off the phone.
4. Connect the USB cable to your computer.
5. On the phone: Press and hold down Back key and connect the USB cable to the phone.
6. Follow the instructions on the screen.

Note : The software in your phone will be replaced. All personal data stored in your phone will be lost.

There is also a way to unlock the pattern screen lock by signing in with your Google account.

1. After 30 seconds, tap Forgot pattern?
2. You need to log in with the primary gmail.com e-mail address and not the alternative email address connected to the Google account.
3. Tap the username field and enter the primary Google account user name.
4. Tap the password field and enter the primary Google account password.
5. Draw a new unlock pattern and tap Continue .
6. Draw the new unlock pattern again and tap Continue .
