SOURCE: kenmore he2 front load washer

Open the panel with 1/4 in socket. Turn white plastic cap filter counter clockwise. remove debris. replace. Run rinse and spin cycle. reopen cap and check for any new debris. replace filter cap and put cover back on. put $65 in bank. Send note to Eddie Lampert and tell him that Sears sucks and he'll never save it as long as they keep screwing their customers by not telling them about a simple fix like like this to an obviously common problem.

SOURCE: Washer fills/agitates and stops prior to draining

If pump works fine or still pumps out water, then it is a timer malfunction. Replace the timer and you should be fine. To locate a part number for your timer, refer to www3.sears.com with the model number off your washer.

Kenmore model 110 it will aggitate but will not spin or drain and the motor hums

Eric, it sounds like there may be something stuck in your drain pump motor, or the drain pump motor itself is locked up. If the washer still has water in it, it should not spin.

Machine wont drain and the door wont open

Hi,

If your washer won't drain, check these:

It spins, but doesn't pump
It doesn't spin or pump
It pumps, but the water returns
It spins, but doesn't pump If your washer spins but doesn't pump the water out, the drain line is probably clogged. In many washers, a small sock or other piece of clothing can get between the clothes tub and the outer tub that holds the water. If the clothing gets between the tubs, it may then get into the drain hose that's attached to the pump--or even into the pump itself. If it's in the pump, you need to remove the hoses from the pump and pull the item out.

To remove the sock from the outer tub port, open the washer's main access panel and remove the large-diameter rubber hose that connects the pump to the bottom of the outer tub. Then, using needle-nose pliers, try to grab and remove the clothing through the port.

Sometimes you can't remove the stuck clothing from below. Then you have to remove the agitator, top of the outer drum shield, and inner clothes tub. This isn't easy to do--and you may need special tools--so you might be happier getting a qualified appliance repair technician to do the job.

If the drain line isn't plugged, the problem may be with your pump. Even if the pump appears to be turning, the internal impeller may be broken. If so, you need to replace the pump.

It doesn't spin or pump If your washer doesn't spin or pump water out but the motor is running, your washer probably has a frozen pump pulley. If so, you need to replace the pump. To check the pulley, remove the pump from the washer and try to rotate the pulley manually. If it doesn't turn freely--if it's frozen or stiff--replace it.

It pumps, but the water returns If the water that pumps out of the machine goes back into the machine after the spin cycle, your washer may be siphoning the water from a laundry tub that has a slow drain, back into the washer. The usual remedy for this is to improve the draining of the laundry tub. (Is something stuck in the drain?) Also, check for these problems:

  • If the drain hose reaches more than about 4 inches into the laundry tub, cut off the excess.

  • If your drain hose is lower than the washer's cabinet, install an air gap/siphon break assembly.

Flashing LD on panel and beeping cabrio top loader washing machine

Ld Long drain Clogged/slow drain/pump

"LD" stands for "long drain," meaning it took an excessively long time for water to drain out of the washer. Common causes for this are kinked drain hose or clothing, like panties or socks, caught in the pump suction hose. Why, I've even heard of bra wires coming loose and getting stuck in that hose, collecting all sorts of gookus and pinching off the flow of water to the pump. Can you imagine? Yea verily, as surely as the Sacred Suds doth eternally pass my lips, the "LD" error code springs forth from such anomalies.

Hope helps.

I still have wet close after spin cycle Why?

check the drain hose for any kinks in it,is it a top load or a front load washer and how old is it?the pump could be blocked with something or the tranny is bad.if it's a top load, set the timer on spin cycle, open the lid, start the spin and with a screw driver push down on the lid switch and see how the machine is spinning,if it's not spinning fast the tranny is bad.if the drain hose is stuck into a drain pipe pull it out and drain the water to see if the water is draining out good or partially draining, something could be in the pump or to much detergent, the washer can't pump out suds as fast as water then the suds turn back into water form again and the clothes are wet.

Have put a wash on today but drum won't empty, have no idea why this has happened?

There are many reasons why it won't drain 1 the pump has gone. 2 is something is blocked in the pump. 3 the drain is blocked so won't drain. To see if it will drain turn machine on put on spin and press start if it still won't drain but making a sound like it is trying you need to pull out machine and check drain hose and drain for blockages. But if pump making no sound then the pump has probably gone and needs replacing.

Makes buzzing noise and won't spin or drain

Sounds like something is stuck in the drain pump.  If nothing is stuck in the pump replace the pump.  It won't spin until it drains, so fixing the drain problem will fix the spin.  You can get at the drain pump by taking off the bottom panel.

Washer won't drain

You have a bad drain pump or something is blocking the pump. you'll have to access the drain pump and disconnect the hose attached to it (after you've emptied all the water out) to see if there is something stuck in the pump or hose.

Ge washer model#wjsr2080t6ww

Sounds like something is stuck in the drain pump, maybe a sock. Remove the front panel by sticking a small screwdriver or putty knife just above the front panel to release 2 clips. Drain pump is located bottom right with 2 hoses connected to it. Drain the machine and remove the hoses. Check for obstructions.
