How do you unlock the mp2 player - GOGEAR Philips Audio Players & Recorders

According to the specs it can play MP2 and MP2 music files,

You need to copy the MP3 music files to an USB memory stick and connect it to the Panasonic then select the USB memory stick music file to play.

maybe the format of the music you download for your mp2 is not compatible ..

mp2 will not recognize music videos, and there's no other way that it will work for that format. Only mp4 and latest version is designed for audio and video format.

mp2, stands for m-peg audio layer II - does recognized only audio format files.

mp4 - recognized audio and visual digital format.

yes you can transfer your files to your pc via mp2 player cable

This is a Codec problem.

If you have a song which has an .mp3 extension. Changed it to .mp2 and it will now play fine without searching for a Microsoft MPEG-1 (50) Codec.

Open the folder with the MP3 file in it that you want Windows Media Player to play.

Click on "Organize" then "Folder and Search Options". Choose the view tag.

Untick "Hide extensions for known file types". Click "OK".

Right click in blank area of the folder. Choose "Properties" then the "Customize" tab. Select "Documents" from the drop down menu. Click "OK".

You will now see files in the folder with their extensions. Change the extension of the file you want WMP to play from ".mp3" to ".mp2".

Double click the file. It will play in WMP.

make sure your mp2 supports synchronization. you may just need to transfer the music like data transfer to your mp2

the song might not work because of how your trying to put on the mp2 player. Some mp3 players you cant just use the windows media player you have to open the player main device by open two sepert folders and drag and drop the song or album you want into the folder.

Do you have the USB cord and a laptop? you plug those into each other to charge it or you get the DC adapter.

This MP3 player does not have a rechargeable battery. It uses 1 AAA battery which will last for days
