Hello , It has lost a partition. You must use the Rescue CD (if available) or reinstall the OS.
If the rescue cd fails, then you must reinstall the OS clean.

SOURCE: Toshiba latop 0201 #ide problem

IDE #0 is your primary hard drive.

Toshiba's System Errors indicate that the error 0201 Failure IDE #0 may be caused by bad contact points where the drive plugs into the laptop chassis. Toshiba recommends pulling the hard drive in and out several times to clean up the male/female contact points.

Toshiba also said that if this doesn't work to contact one of their service centers for assistance.

The contact points solution rarely works, but is worth a try. Most likely, your hard drive failed and needs to be replaced.

SOURCE: Laptop HP NX9010 will not boot, Will go to bios, powers off after that.

It still sound like the hardrive, you can download a live cd of linix and try to see if it will run on linix,if so try reformatting the hardrive and reinstall windows,if you can get a copy of windows 98 and install that first 98 has a tendency to repair bad sectors of a harddrive,I have had many laptop drives not take xp untill I put 98 first.

SOURCE: cant install xp to dell c400 with external cd-rom

This is how I did it, you may or may not have the ability. A basic knowledge of Dos is necessary 1) I used another laptop but you could use an adapter to use the hard drive in a regular computer. 2)boot with a windows 98 boot disk, fdisk it to a fat32 partition, make the hard drive a system boot disk (format /s c:) 3) copy the i386 folder and all its contents from a full or full oem (not branded) disk to the laptop drive, also copy smartdrv and highmem.sys from the floppy (speeds thing up dramatically) and create a config.sys file with device=highmem.sys 4)physically install the hard drive back into the C400, boot to dos run smartdrv.exe, then go to the i386 folder and type winnt.exe (enter) wooo should work. System does not go ahead after bios setup

Possible HDD fault, try taking out the HDD and or the DVD drive as these can make the unit hang showing a possible fault, also try booting from a bootable cd or flash stick if the unit boots beyond the bios post even if it shows an error then i would say the HDD/DVD is faulty.

How to boot from cd in ga 6wmmc7

When you turn on the computer and BIOS just begins to load, the computer will display something like..." Press (some key) to enter Setup". This key is usually "DEL", "F12", or something like that. This would bring you to the BIOS Setup Menu. Explore the options there, there's an option for boot device order. Make sure that CD comes before HDD. Of course, your CD must be bootable in order for it to actually boot.

When compuetr starts no boot device available but BIOS seen

If there is no HDD or any other boot device the BIOS will always be present. This problem occurs if you haven't installed any Operating System on the HDD. So when the computer is booting it finds no booting device files and that's why showing error message. Format your HDD and install OS to boot smoothly. But if you have HDD with OS still this error happening then it might be a reason of corrupt system files which are required during booting or it may be the case that your HDD is damaged and cannot boot from there. If your HDD is damaged and still showing on the BIOS it may happen because it is detecting as a device but the as the device is damaged is cannot boot from it. Check these steps to solve your issue.
