If it used to work, and now suddenly it doesn't, likely the condenser microphone inside the phone is bad or has built up a static charge. If it used to work and you now here a buzz or humming sound instead of voice, you will need to discharge the microphone by disassembling the phone and shorting the two wires that go to the microphone (with the telephone unplugged!). I'm assuming you are referring to intercom calls and therefore the programming for handsfree outside line calls (memory block 4-29) doesn't have any bearing. If it used to work and the above procedure doesn't fix it, the phone is probably bad.
