when the resistors are burned,means that the transistors are damaged, or the power module is damaged.
and in your case its the power module.

the power module is damaged and the components ... as you described, resistors burned and other components are over heated .
you need a service technician if you are still hanging on your baby :)

I have the same problem..it will be required to remove the board and resolder "cold " solderings... None of above solutions have been helpful, but "you get what you paid for"..and I completely disagree...even if required, remove ALL audio power managing circuitry and replace this expensive original design with TI´s Integrated chips..using PWM technology..unless you want to go back to L6, ot Kts tubes..
