How do I connect my Sylvania DVD VCR Player to my Westinghouse LCD TV?

Go into the Menu of the DVD player and take it off of Progressive Scan.

How do u hooking up this thing,up by a AV component video RYW signal cable to an analog tv,a LCD,plasma tvs or an a HDMI cable to a LCD or a plasma tvs?More informations please?

hook up a dvd player into input 1 and see if you have a picture.if not,replace the main digital pcb.

u have a cable/sateliite connection...cable from wall to cable box in...cable box out to vcr/dvd in....vcr/dvd out to samsung lcd in....(vcd/dvd and samsung must be tune to ch 3) now u should be able to record all channel (note HBO, and some others like it may not allow dvd recording) vhs yes.

have this model..was trying to hook it up to a directv hughes receiver.After a day of trying and many curse words I found that using thishookup works . Hook up your satellite connection to you tv asusual...Now plug rca cables(red,yellow white) into the corresponding holes on the BACK of the Directvreceiver ..now plug the rca cables into the FRONT of the Magnavoxplayer...you will only use find holes for the white and yellow(that'sok) Now hook up up the dvd playerto the tv using the rca connection back of dvd/vcr player..or if yourtv only has a coax connection you will need a rf modulator available atwalmart etc. You will run the dvd/vcr on L2. The key is the connectionsto the FRONT of the dvd/vcr player..I hope this helps..:)

If you have a optical out on your dvd player and optical in on the receiver that is the best connection for digital sound, the vcr section will have to be hooked up analog using rca cords

did you try to switch the tv modes Ex. my tv has av 1 av 2 comp 1 comp 2 does it have those modes

You should have other audio & video inputs. Try the red, white yellow plug combination. It will probably get you going.

does your dvd player have HDMI cable if not I would simply use a video switcher http://www.elitevision.com.tw/VS-401.htm i have the wii and a VCR hooked up to this and works like a charm on my tv.

Even if you do get it connected you cannot copy from vhs to dvd as you have bought a vcr recorder with dvd player, not a dvd recorder. You can only record to the vcr tape from a dvd, in the players controls.
